Sootysevener
Just got delivery of Maxiflow 1A head from Steve at Vulcan - less than 24 hours from pick up to delivery and I'm chuffed 😬 😬 😬 😬 😬 David 1989 1700XF SS clams with carbon webshots here
Graham Sewell
Enjoy - I went for one of these heads a few years back as part of an "unleaded" upgrade - very nice work from what I can see of it. Together with a correctly mapped Aldon Dizzy, the car is a dream. Cheers, Graham --- Low tech luddite - xflow and proud!
Molecular--Bob
Is the Maxiflo 1a a direct replacement for the standard supersprint head? or will it need machined pistons. I am very tempted as my current head is looking a bit sorry for itself since one of the lugs for the exhaust manifold fell off, and it's only a matter of time before the manifold blows. rj
I'm in deed impressed with their tolerances. I've seen an engine they'd built and balanced. Not even a punch-mark on the crank - If only I could build an engine that need not to be machined to be in balance... Only a few tonnes out it was! /regin
Graham Sewell
MIne was a direct replacement on a 1700 supersprint. If you have the time - he will work on your own cylinder head - rather than have an exchange head. The pistons should only need work if you change camshaft as Vulcan will not be skimming the head. Cheers, Graham --- Low tech luddite - xflow and proud!
