Ozzy
Anyone had trouble replacing this? The body fouls on the flange bolt of the oil filter mounting, making it hard to screw in straight. I seem to have got it on ok, and it's not leaking, although it did'nt feel quite right. It's a bl**dy tight fit, is there a knack to this. Oz. Chris W
Ozzy I have just replaced mine (2003 K series SV). I didn't encounter the problem you had. The sender screwed straight in, no problem, a one minute job with an eggcup of oil lost in the process. Is it maybe because mine's an SV and there's more room in the engine bay? Ozzy
Maybe mines different? The pressure sender screws into a right angle piece protruding from the front of the oil filter mounting. As it's right angled, it faces the flange which bolts the whole filter mounting assembly to the block. It's against one of these flange bolts where it catches. I do have an Apollo, if that makes any difference? Oz. Still Shaking 6 speed 1600k Supersport
Roger Doidge
Yep, it`s a tight fit. I found that mine just touched but didn`t really interfere with tightening it.
old captain slow
It's tight to screw in 'cos it's a tapered thread so don't screw it in too far. Just enough to be a tight fit. C7 CDW
Ozzy
Mines not tapered! It comes with a copper sealing washer, so you have to screw it home to seal it. Oz Still Shaking 6 speed 1600k Supersport
CageyH
Fitted one recently. It was tight, but worked out OK. This was on a '97 vintage 1600 K S/S.
