K series oil pressure sender - fitting

Anyone had trouble replacing this? The body fouls on the flange bolt of the oil filter mounting, making it hard to screw in straight. I seem to have got it on ok, and it's not leaking, although it did'nt feel quite right. It's a bl**dy tight fit, is there a knack to this.

I have just replaced mine (2003 K series SV). I didn't encounter the problem you had. The sender screwed straight in, no problem, a one minute job with an eggcup of oil lost in the process. Is it maybe because mine's an SV and there's more room in the engine bay?

Maybe mines different? The pressure sender screws into a right angle piece protruding from the front of the oil filter mounting. As it's right angled, it faces the flange which bolts the whole filter mounting assembly to the block. It's against one of these flange bolts where it catches. I do have an Apollo, if that makes any difference?
