Bilstein Shocks leaking

Chris Norman

Recommended Posts

Out today and noticed front drivers side front wheel "bouncing" around alot - more than passenger side. Got home and looked at the front shocks, drivers side appears to be leaking 🙆🏻

Can this be repaired or are replacement(s) required?

Car is 1.4K SS with Bilstein adjustable platforms, but I am quite new to this so a little unsure.

Any suggestions gratefully received

Thanks

Chris

Mine did the same, 6 years ago now so my memory's a bit hazy but I did look into getting them rebuilt (prodrive 🤔) but ended up buying new ones from CC so it must have been too expensive.

Some second hand ones are bound to come up at some point if you can wait.

Chris I've got some standard billys you can have second hand if you blat mail I'll send you the pics

They arnt perfect looks wise but at £30 a pair including springs they are cheap

Can the standards be modified to take the adjustable platforms
