Just 2 needed - must be new & genuine MG Rover parts.

Thanks!

Nick, try www.dmgrs.co.uk, I'm pretty sure this is where I sourced a couple of the same valves when my car ingested a small screw a few years ago. I'd originally bought a couple from somewhere else but just wasn't happy with them, and when you get that bad feeling it's better to change direction!

Thanks Stu - that's really good to know.

Don't suppose you know the part number of the dry sump belt tensioner - it's either PQG100180 or PQG100180a?

Also where to source a replacement tensioner and if non-OEM are any good? Rimmerbros are extortionate!

Nothing Tom!

I'm having my engine refreshed over the Winter and I'm just collecting a few bits here and there. I've managed to buy 6 new valves but just need 2 more to cover the inlet side.

The DS belt tensioner has never been changed (AFAIK), so thought it would probably be worth doing.

Cheers,

Nick

Looking at the page on Rimmer's website the PQG100180a looks visually the same as my o/e one, the non-"a" version is visually different.

The price isn't too bad when you consider it has a new pulley and bearing, the bearing can be removed to fit in the Caterham flanged pulley if you have one, it might need the pulley cutting off though.

Thanks Stu - cannot understand the sig price difference between the 'a' and 'non-a' version - seems very odd to me.

Will need to remove mine to be sure, although one of the fixing bolts has started to round off!! Frown

Nick,

do you have a copy of Steve Tourle's DS install guide? This has a full list of all the part numbers supplied in Caterhams kit? Drop me a PM with your email address and I can sent it over.
