Ian Lummis
Good afternoon all I would like to replace engine mounting bolts on my r400 to stainless steel ones the head of cap head is 3/8 imperial wear every thing else seems to be metric so just wondered length and thread pitch before I remove them thanks. ECR
A stainless bolt will be significantly weaker than the grade 8 (?) bolt that you currently use .....
ScottR400D
I think it's a 1/2" x 2 3/4" UNF. But as said, why would you want to fit a stainless bolt?
John Vine
If you mean the bolts that attach the engine mounts to the chassis rails, they're 1/2" x 2 1/2" UNF caphead (3/8” hex socket).Agree about avoiding stainless...JV
