Yes that RS was a surprise! Ah, now I know who the white BMW that was filling my mirrors was! What engine does that have? My 4 series has bags of torque, but not from low down like that! I was obviously only half throttle!

Hi guys, I'm looking for some advise, I need to re-powdercoat my suspension parts. I have also got some new bushes. The question is the process, is there a trick to getting these bushes in and out without damaging the finish? Can I put them in first then powder coat? They are really tricky to get out even with a press! Anyone done this before? Advise welcomed! Best Wil

I also spotted these and was thinking they seem reasonable to replace the Bilsteins. So I guess the question is do the benefits justify swapping for fast road use, is there a noticable performance difference or are trusty old bilsteins the easiest option?

Hi guys, I am rebuilding my car this winter and replacing all the rubber components which are past their best! Looking around there are all sorts of bush kits but I am unsure as to which is best. Are polyurethane ones the right way to go? I mainly drive enthusiastically on the road with a couple of trackdays, so not looking for an uber stiff set up but in the same breath I'm not looking for a touring set up! Any thoughts or advice is welcome!

Thanks, The engine isn't a highly tuned one, just a DVA'd 1.6k turning out 155bhp. The problem I have been having is the car running too cool! The engine has never had a thermostat in and has always run perfectly, then suddenly started running at 40 degrees even on a scorcher! It will heat up to the fan coming on whilst stood and remain at 80. Then any movement and all temp is lost. I tried a thermostat which seemed to work, but an hour before I was due to visit the ring it started overheating. The only thing to do was quickly drill out the thermostat and jump on the ferry. I have replaced all the hoses with silicone and added a t piece at the heater end. The O rings for the heater matrix are going to be replaced to make sure they're not leaking, as luck would have it I managed to put a hole in the radiator, so will be fitting a new one of those this weekend. I am now thinking that the "jiggle valve" maybe blocked up, so going to try clean that up. Has anyone any experience of this? Perhaps causing airlock?

Has anyone fitted one of these? here I'm thinking about investing, was it worthwhile? any pictures of where it was fitted would be great, looks like its an inline fitment? Thanks Wil
