Hopefully catch up with a few people at Guyers tonight
-
I've been fiddling by adding more spacers to the front, the only issue I see is that as the seat tilts, it sits less squarely on the spacers as it becomes increasingly angled, especially at the back with just a single small spacer. Do people just ignore this or even file down the spacer a little on one side to get a better fit.
Also can you go above 30mm at the front ok? I'm at 30mm currently

Guyers House booked as well

Thanks all, I think I might well do the same David, still been pondering driving on the day
-
Thinking about my drive to Castle Combe for the May novices track day (over 2 hour drive) and I'm thinking I might be better staying local the night before. Can anyone recommend something secure and local?

Still looking for two black 6 x 13 Apollo wheels if anyone has a pair to sell.
-
I'm definitely not a polisher, barely a car washer
-
Wow, now that is polished!

My ex-Academy car currently sports a wrap and some stripes, been on for about 4 years (1 year in my ownership). Now toying with the idea of going bare or polished aluminium for a change, would be much like the Superlight Twenty I think for a while if I do it. I might even just remove or change the stripes at first as that would also dramatically change the look.
Anyone gone this route and share any thoughts, I will go through the archive on the technical aspects of wrap removal and polishing the aluminium (I have a polisher).
I guess I should expect to see some old dings showing up, so should be prepared for that and there is certainly a mark in the back panel that the wrap hides well.
When polished does the bodywork come up in consistent finish across the different panels? If anyone has any photos of their bare metal cars I'd be interested to see.

Ah SM25T, I'd wondered about that! I have ordered an LMA one from eBay
Caterham parts is in lockdown for a stocktake at present as well now
-
Great many thanks everyone, I'll order one now, the car isn't here with me which made it a bit more difficult than it should have otherwise been
I'm stocking up on a few tour essentials before any bigger road trips this year -
Thanks they're also out of stock though!
-
I want to get a spare red isolator key, does anyone know the manufacturer of the current Caterham ones? I have seen some Grayston keys that look identical on eBay but before I invest £4
Caterham are out of stock at present, hence the question

I suspect some dealers leave sold cars on PH to keep the calls coming in, I've seen it with a car I bought, was still on PH many many months later but could have been an oversight. I asked for it to be removed in the end

Thanks for sharing, happy to take a pair or a set with good ZZS tyres

Many thanks both, yes my current spacers are between the seat runner and the seat, so not on the floor
-
#14 yes agreed, they drop through the floor and have nylock nuts and washers on the underside. Nice reverse install on yours.
And yes the hex bolts then go through the runners and up into the Tilletts but as they're only 25mm they won't accomodate many spacers to tilt the seat back at present.

Have tried a couple, will need to carry on!

Still looking so shout if you know of anything
Oxted Tillett seat pads

I have been in touch with Oxted to get one of these, there are two thicknesses 1/2" and 1" and I'm going to pop in and try them. I already have lowered floors and don't want to be sitting much higher, has anyone tried the 1" ones? I guess the height difference when compressed is very little between the 2 options and I'd prefer the extra comfort for longer drives. Any thoughts?
