  4. Link fixed - hopefully. Tim
  5. Erm; shall I just say that it would be slightly competitive to have us in different cars of compatible ability - been there before!
  6. Stop it you're making me Er, who are you......come to that who am I!
  7. Thanks Ian Not an easy decision but cant drive both. We figure that we can always buy another if or when we have had our fill of the Elise.
  8. After much consideration, Jane and I have decided that in 2013 we are going to focus on using our Elise and so our much upgraded Seven wont get the use it deserves and will be best off in a new home. The car began life as a 1996 1400 SuperSport but spec as it stands now includes: 1800 k series from a Lotus Elise with similar mileage to the k1400 removed with Original Supersport head and cams. Verniers Lightened flywheel DTH Jenvy TB's with uprated injectors Bernard Scouse airbox with K&N filter Emerald MD3 K6 with DVA map (runs really well, idles smoothly) 4-2-1 plus Raceco titanium silencer (quiet enough for most trackdays) Apollo tank Silicone hoses Ally Rad from McMillan Motorsport Gel battery New clutch, CRB and crank oil seal on conversion Widetrack Front red and rear AR bars AVO dampers and new springs Big brake kit 13" Caterham anthracite 8 spokes inc spare wheel AO21R (inc spare wheel) new rears in last year 5 Speed + LSD Trackday rollbar HL brakelight GRP Tillets with pads Removable Momo SPA Formula convex door mirrors 12v socket under dash Remote fan switch Heater Full screen Full weather gear SBFS half hood SBFS wind deflector wired for car to car radio Plus stuff I have forgotten! The car has covered just over 14000 miles overall and is in original racing green with a BRM orange nose band, Seven logo in stone grille and BRM orange roll bar. It is in good overall condition and has been selectively upgraded to a spec that gives a great balance between comfort on road / touring and good fun on track. Not perfect, but a lot of car and upgrades for the money. £14000.00 I can also supply original 1400 short engine removed at around 8000 miles, plus original aluminium Caterham Supersport inlet manifold and 52mm aluminium SS TB for anyone wishing to have original parts to re-convert for an additional £400.00. A couple of pics here but haven't got one of the full car with the Raceco silencer Cheers Tim Edited by - Tim V-W on 10 Feb 2013 11:30:57
  9. Ashley Have just dug the map off my old laptop and emailed it to you. Have fun. Cheers Tim
  10. Ashley I went through this when I built mine before I fitted TB's. YHM Cheers Tim
  11. Ian - got my nuts too. See you on the island. Tim
  12. All nicely new and bagged up - reconditioned stock perhaps Tried the idea that they still had my old one, but it didn't fly. Unfortunately none of the staff that were involved when they changed my wheels are still there!!
  13. Thanks all I have the centre bolt, but I reckon CC Mids didnt return the Y piece when they changed my wheels. CC Mids have one in stock so will collect that and the two nuts that are also required. Will use Neils or Riks method for raising the wheel off the carrier. edit to add - I suppose the unexpected expense will at least now allow access to the boot cover studs Tim Edited by - Tim V-W on 12 Apr 2012 17:18:54
  14. Having not thought about the consequenses I have just had a part worn AO21R fitted to my spare to replace the CR500 that I had previously and now the fixing bolt wont line up in any way with the boss on the rear panel. As Caterham fitted my CR500's to replacement 13" 8 spoke wheels and simply put the bolt through one of the stud holes I have no idea how a spare is usually fixed. I am leaning towards finding a way to get the bolt through the centre and pad the sides of the carrier to raise it up a little but need ideas for ways to hold the centre bolt to the wheel. Typically it had to happen today, because we are off to Wightblat tomorrow, so any and all ideas appreciated. Cheers Tim
  15. On M1 heading North between lutterworth and Leicester in the fog 07.45 ish yesterday.
  16. I got mine here My original silicone hose kit supplied by SFS with heater hoses came with the double kinked kind for the later heater which cannot be adapted to fit. Also, the ones on my 1996 car needed to be 16mm to 13mm reducing elbows. Tim Edited by - Tim V-W on 16 Nov 2011 12:47:17
  17. Rich Have PM'ed you re Gordons post as I am looking for a set of 6" trackday wheels. Tim
  18. Hi Ian Sorry for not replying earlier. Your offer would be very helpful, will send a PM to arrange a meeting. Unfortunately i am not going to Curborough though. Cheers Tim
  19. Ian, thanks A bit of research confirms my suspicion that the second connection is likely an oil pressure light switch as suggested by eb. I will look at the a mechanical OP set up as this would be the sensible way to go. It is a matter of timing with the Cadwell Pk trackday less than a month away. I guess a(nother) call to Think Automotive might be needed. Tim
  20. Perhaps I wasn't clear about which is currently in use. I know that the sender on top is for pressure as it is providing output to my current gauge. What I am wondering is what is the connector at the end of the horizontal 90 degree bend for? If, as Mav suggests, it may be a pressure sender, then maybe someone added the sender on the top of the unit later and I can blank that off and use the other one to solve my problem with the Apollo. I am sure that I have seen the take-off for a MOPG replacing the connector that I have on the horizontal elbow, that is what made me wonder.
  21. On my k series oil filter mounting I have an oil pressure sender screwed into one of the threaded holes on the top face and this has a single wire connected to a both on top. This is tall enough to foul the 90 degree angle fittings on the sandwich plate before it is low enough to fit on the filter housing. The oil filter mounting also has a further right angle casting with an electrical connector at the end ( this seems like a two pin connector, but could be only using one pin) What is the usual set up for a standard k series oil pressure sender and has anyone else experienced this issue when fitting an Apollo? Is it likely that the second connector is an oil temp sender ( the engine was an ex Elise motor) and if so, could I blank the top mounting and use the horizontal one for the pressure sender? I also have an early large size alternator and the pipes foul the alternator bracket, but these should be comparatively easy to fix compared with above. Tim
  22. Hi What engine is it and what map are you using ?
  23. Oh yes, de-dion please.
  24. I need 4 off 13x6 wheels to fit 175x55x13 CR500's for up-coming trackday. Prefer reasonable nick but not too bothered about condition as long as they have good rims. Tim
