  1. I have an R400D with TBs. In theory it's therefore putting out 220hp, but hasn't been rolling roaded. I have had my car from new (2007), and have it set up just the way I like it with race suspension on ZZRs. It handles very nicely and is mainly used on track. However, I could do with a few more horses. My ideal solution would be to find a way to upgrade power without having to completely re-engineer all the oil/water cooling or replacing gearbox/diff. Is there a way to upgrade from 220 and keep the surgery to engine only? Realistically, what sort of upper power limit could be achieved before changes need to be made beyond the engine? And... who would be recommended to do this sort of work?

    MOT Time...

Thanks all for the top tips!
  3. Bolting on the RBTBs will increase induction noise. So, when you had up induction noise plus exhause noise, I very much doubt you will get through a Bedford noise test with an R400D. Hence, when I added the RBTBs, I also switched my standard exhaust (with Cat) to a Raceco (and no Cat). Passed with flying colours.
  4. Yes - RBTBs on an R400D are fine... but you need a quiet can for Bedford. I have them on my R400D and they are great! I use a Raceco can. Worked fine re noise at Bedford last time out.

    MOT Time...

Anyone got any recommendations for a Caterham friendly MOT station in Cheshire - ideally South of Manchester kind of way?
  6. My R400 is one of the infamous 2 (at least) with the wrong diff (3.9 instead of 3.92). It's maxing at about 125mph (on track obviously). Still waiting for Caterham to come back to me with a date for fitting the right diff... after 6 WEEKS!!!!!!!!
