  1. Saw (and heard) you boarding the ferry this morning - we were in the Ardgour Inn having breakfast.. You must the the ones from Mull below. Looked very misty earlier so hope you could see enough for a good drive. We are in our Elise - bit more comfy than the 7, and double the mpg of the crossflow... Andy & Jayn

Well, John from Redline has now looked at the car. The damage extends along the side panel so it will need quite a stripdown and a new sideskin ☹️ ☹️ Blame has been accepted by the Vauxhall driver so the clam should not be delayed. Not really the opportunity to put the Zetec in - Apart from the nosecone there is no damage at the front so I don't think the engine has to come out. It will be off the road enough already this summer, so plan to get it back as soon as possible. Getting lots of offers for loan cars. Of course they all go quiet when I say I want a Seven... Has anyone ever managed a Seven for a short term hire as an Insurance deal? I know there are a few places that hire them - would only want the odd weekend. At least we have the Elise to play with, and luckily had already planned to take that on Holiday. Andy

It seems to be the weekend for it... I was on an early trip down to Beaulieu on Friday when a Vauxhall Vectra failed to stop in a queue of traffic Quite a bit of damage here but glad of the spare wheel that saved making a big mess of the wine in the boot 😬 Pushed into car in front so new nosecone needed as well ☹️ Made it down to Beaulieu thanks to Tony P and saw John from Redline so was able to arrange to have the estimate done soon. Should be no problem with claim, so who is going to get to Arch first *smile* Andy Edited by - Andy Harding on 3 Jun 2013 00:05:10 Edited by - Andy Harding on 3 Jun 2013 00:06:32
  4. Richard, An S3 one for my Xflow please. BM sent. Many Thanks, Andy
  5. 2nd dibs please after CB. Should fit my DD Crossflow just fine - I have the cloth ones but always fancied a leather pair. Andy
  6. Was me heading down to the Hindhead tunnel. Had stopped to put earplugs in. I have recently put on the Brooklands screens and thought I would try wearing a helmet on the motorway. Very comfortable but forgot to put earplugs in - stopped at first chance and then much quieter down to Hindhead. No helmet or earplugs in the tunnel though 😬 😬 😬 Andy K77 ANV
  7. Guy, Yes, had a good run back - 90 mins again, probably one of the best times in the week to do it. SWMBO likes the sink, must ring the plumber now. Cheers, Andy
  8. Guy, Looks fine - a good dob of sealer around the corner should hide the damage. SWMBO has approved the idea so I can come and collect - possibly this weekend. Will send contact details via blatmail. Many thanks, Andy
  9. Hi Guy, Still keen on this but a couple of things to check: When you say left hand drainer does that mean the sink is on the left hand and the drainer on the right (and your photo isn't reversed) Also could you take a photo directly over the top as I just want to check the overall visibility of the chip. I am hatching a cunning plan for collection - when it is packed away in the box how many of Billyboy's racks could I add to fit in a Focus Hatchback and then bring down for the SE buyers? I can give you a decision tomorrow. Cheers, Andy
  10. 2nd Dibs please if TIm doesn't take it. Many Thanks, Andy
  11. Hi Mike, I have a set of Prisoner wheels with 195/50 tyres and as I live close to Andy Belcher have taken one round to him this afternoon. So panic over - have heard about the delays so far and hope you get it back on the road soon. Cheers, Andy
  12. Thanks Chris - email replied. Cheers, Andy
  13. Hi Chris, I'll take the heater if terryp doesn't take it. And I'll take the Lucas Ignition to keep as spares for my curent one. Looks like the Zetec conversion is going ahead - waiting for mine until my Xflow goes pop - though just passed 50,000 miles - can't last much more... Many thanks, Andy
  14. Hi Alan, That sounds ideal - my original matrix had a similar leak but got lost after I took it out many years ago. I wont be able to pick it up for a few weeks as we will be off on our tour of France and Switzerland in the Seven. I'll Blatmail you when we return. This doesn't help Rampmonkey sell his Fresh-Air heater though... Cheers Andy
  15. Thanks for the pics - looks like it is a Fresh-Air type so not suitable for my older Xflow. Never mind - plenty of time til I want to use one next winter. Many Thanks, Andy Edited by - Andy Harding on 29 May 2010 18:20:01
  16. Yes please - it's for my 1992 Xflow. Cheers Andy
  17. Hi There, Is is one of the flat heaters or is it the taller fresh-air type? Many Thanks, Andy
  18. Hi Mark - very interested in one of these. Thanks Andy
  19. Sorry I missed you - I was on a new blat route so must have been concentrating on where I was going! I'd just picked up some Goodwood tickets from COBBO at the McD on the A24 and was heading towards The Parrot for the Surrey meet. It was good to get out on a dry day for once and also to try out some new routes. I might even take My MG down that way but promise I wont hold your Mazda up as it's an MGB V8 - your Seven might be more of a challenge though... Here's hoping for a good few weeks of good dry blatting weather. Andy
  20. I'll be near there tomorrow - off to Robe & Hitchens for the MOT. Luckily its a an old crossflow so no messing about with CO levels. What colour is your Seven? Andy
  21. Hi Neil, You've spootted me again - just off for a quick blat to dry after washing. Hope you were going south as it looked like there was some delay northbound with a police checkpoint - I came back via Banstead. Must meet up sometime. Andy
  22. Never mind - don't need one yet but it looked a good idea for the "Spares Shelf". Andy
  23. Is the Elise display for an S1 - the one with amber illumination ? If so 1st Dibs please. Many Thanks, Andy
  24. We go down to the Wooton Hatch most months - depending on my shift pattern and should be able to make the next one on Thusday 20th. Are you off to Norfolk this weekend - if so we are heading off with another 7 at about 11am on Friday. Andy
  25. Thanks Neil - my first spotted Thanks for letting me out - sometimes you can wait ages there. I was just going for a run after repairs from holing the sump in Wales. It needed new Big End shells but otherwise seems to have escaped any other damage. All set now for Norfolk Andy
