  15. Ok leads changed Magnecor here (big thanks to Elise parts as magnecor had a 7-10 day wait ) plugs changed and Re-gapped dizzy changed rotor arm changed Still missfires so just waiting for TPS to arrive hope this sorts it . Have Read ECu via Easimap and TPS was flickering from .45v down to .38v so looking like it could be my problem fingers crossed 😬 will let you know how it goes Mark Webshots Edited by - markiebabes on 7 Apr 2008 21:13:17
  16. Mark 😬 is this(TPS) a Rover part ? Anyone have a part number ? Reg MBE ecu can be looked at with Pc (easimap) will check this later. Will go down to Halfords later to get a cheapo meter Thanks Again 😬 Mark Webshots
  17. Mark Been on Minsters site so will try If i can get hold of a meter and will give it a go looks fairly straight forward Have Emailed Magnecor (are the leads specific to R4/500's or just rover ones ?) 😬 might as well change as then it's another thing ruled out . Cheers Mark Webshots
  18. Reg i didn't think it could be mapping as done nothing to it maybe throttle pot needs adjusting 🤔 will try easimap to see if i can get some readings to see if it's within tolerance. only had a couple of things done 😬 1- cam belt changed and verniers timed They were way out ran great then parked it up for about a week(in garage on conditioner) 2 -fuel pump and sender gaskets replaced (missfire appeared on way to have this done) will check all electrical connections again Anyone know where i can get a set of Magnecor HT leads from near Mk ?? Cheers Mark Webshots
  19. Thanks Johnathan 😬 can't see any cracks in tubes/pipeson induction and fuel rail seems how do i check fuel pressure ? Injectors seem to be sealed no obvious leaks throttle bodies are not sticking full travel sensors plugs taken off and cleaned ,wires checked will check all others that i can reach tommorrow MBE 967 Ecu yes i can access map via Easymap ,but didn't want to mess with it in case i screwed it up will ask if any one has onei can borrow if none of the above works 😬 Rolling road as you say may be the only other option ☹️ Going to change leads tommorrow just in case i am missing something *eek* thanks again Mark Webshots Edited by - markiebabes on 1 Apr 2008 16:31:42
  20. Hi I have got a slight missfire on my R400 and its driving me mad comes at around 3800-4000rpm (Full throttle only) it stutters, pops, bangs then clears and takes off as normal 😬 checked on old threads and the HT leads(ok)cap(ok),plugs (ok) and sensors(how do you test Air,Water,Crank) also not sure how to reset throttle pot as i dont have a meter *confused*and being a fiddler might do more harm than good Should the air temp sensor make a differance (at idle) when removed when engine warm ? can throttle pot make it missfire ? Changed fuel filter in case it was a bad batch of fuel ? But no change Any help would be gratefully accepted 😬 any suggestions ? rather than change all the above Cheers Mark Webshots Edited by - markiebabes on 31 Mar 2008 16:26:49
