You can get some for a bit less here. They are a caterham specific disc so it’s reliant on someone having made a pattern part.

I have (well had somewhere) a spare Lifeline type quick release top column. No hub, just the steel column. If that's any use, and if I can locate it tbh, let me know how badly you want it! In other words make me an offer as I have no idea and a new set of both parts are over £300!

From what info I have the shift light on the CT1 ecu used on the 160 should be driven from the large ecu plug on pin A2. In theory if you connect an LED to 12v and connect its ground side to this it should come on at whatever the calibrated shift light point is. That value I cant remember and this is old info from years ago so it might no longer be correct.

Hi Gordon,
I'll have them please.
Cheers, Simon

The 100hp engine had a revised hybrid turbo specified in house so you are very unlikely to find one for sale, besides you'd need the calibration for it and that is not going to be available. Flywheel, don't know that they changed it from the Suzuki one, don't think it was very heavy anyway.
-
That's interesting as one thing I've noticed is how this new one doesn't log me out over a weekend if I don't use my computer. Without fail the other did it.

Caterham have never run the UK IVA car spec through the emissions test and cerified it so no there is no possibility of getting a NOx value or a CoC.
-
If you're doing a new engine build then unless you have everything else and can't transfer a pan over from the old engine I'd look at a Pace (or whoever actually makes them now) system as the rest is almost impossible to get hold of.

Mine is a 1.8K supersport with a 6 speed and 3.9 diff. Sounds like what you probably have as it cruises at about 5 something at 70 odd. A 3.6 diff should help but will dull the acceleration a little.
I've driven it to France a couple of times and didn't find it an issue, earplugs in obviously but then I always use them.

The clamp etc is for column intrusion towards you in a crash. The collapsible wheel boss is for head impact protection, hence also the fat pad fitted to the steering wheel.
If the car is factory built and IVA tested it wouldn't necessarily be obvious as they would fit and remove as required but never supply one, euro cars have one fitted as standard.

Its a standard ford part from any type 9 sierra. Doubt its available easily new these days though.
-
Theres a full gold pump system on for sale.
-
Its this edge one I believe. They are not a Ford part and are expensive.
-
There are detail differences in the tubes used in various places. It's one of those things where everything looks the same but it's mostly slightly different
-
Its just because it has no CO2 figures for UK cars, they being IVA just have the MOT limits applied and are under the old PLG system, even new cars today.
-
#2 they look to have the wide track spacer fitted so it would appear so
-
If its just the coating come off why not just remove them and put a rattle can coat on? Its a caterham own part obviously so asking for a different supplier other than redline or another specialist who just buy from CC anyway is a little pointless.
-
Just a long engine or does it have any ancillaries and sump pan fitted still?
-
The springs from Kent had a spate of breaking from that sort of year. We used Cosworth springs on the 485 and I think that went across the board although that may have changed since of course
-
Looks like you'll be needing to find a replacement donor engine and swapping the caterham parts over to me.
-
They've only ever been available as a home brew I think. Time to get brave and break the dremel out. Tbh the clear indicator looks a bit rubbish to me as well. Better with the proper coloured lense

Unscrew the white sleeve, the ribbed part you can see there to remove
-
This obviously only applies if you are getting a non Caterham specialist to do the belt, the Ford cam locking tool doesn't work as the cam timing is adjusted to take the 105hp engine up towards the claimed 125hp. Just worth mentioning it to any ordinary garage.

From memory the VVC has a low rev limit, set at around that value, when the VVC isn't working. Could be the oil temp sensor in the VVC housing or the solenoids playing up.

Is this 4 liners or 3?
