These tyres must go as I need the space, lots of tread on all of them, rears are 2008 vintage. Great for a good trash around a track or a few (quite a few) donuts! I will be heading to the local tip with them if no takers. Simon (Bedford)

I am bit surprised this trailer hasn't gone as it is perfect for towing a 7 around the country, lightweight and in good condition ( I achieved 34 -35mpg pulling trailer and 7 verse sub 30mpg with a previous double wheel trailer) and it fits inside an average garage with the car on top! Comes with straps & tow lock, ready to tow away. Will fit a CSR as well as an S3 chassis as 1.85m wide bed. Price reduced to £895.00 Simon N

I have a Brian James A series 185 single axle trailer for sale complete with Bulldog Hitch lock (the one you can leave on when towing the car) and 4 heavy duty wheel straps. Advantages of a single axle are lightness and compact size of this sturdy trailer. Perfect for a Caterham or Elise, I have towed both without any problems. Garaged for most of its life. I have the following available; 2 Rear disks Caterham part 77183A, not new but in good condition without rust £20 2 used working Coil packs (my spares) 1800 non VVC 0209A £30 1 set of new plastic black half doors - need to be cut to fit £40 1 Black surround heated screen with crack across bottom near side corner, perfect for avoiding you best screen being broken on a track day (This is safe but an MOT failure) £30 1 modified, hence not perfect, but very useable second hand set of plastic black half doors £20 NOTE : Both fees for screen & used half doors to be donated to Nuke the luke. All items would be better collected, however, I can send with free packing and the payment at cost of the postage. I have good photos of all items for sale and will forward these to email replies. Hi Gregs, I am just about to put a carbon aeroscreen up for sale with all three mirrors and I have some half doors. I even have covers for the windscreen motors drives which are exposed when the windscreen wipers are removed. If you are intersted I can send some photos. I can assist you with the changhe over. Ben, It is a sad day but after 2 happy years of R300 ownership I fancied a change and have bought something softer and slower. Will I regret selling the R300 probably, but my needs have changed at the moment. I may be back with another Caterham in the future, but for now I am driving a bright green standard K series Elise. Jon, a big thanks for the data on the R300K exhaust filling. My R300k is also in need of a good re-pack at 96bd static, I live 10mins from the Autodrome but can not drive there due to the drive by limit. Grant gave me the supplier contact some time back but I wasn't sure how much to buy. Is the stuff straight forward to fit inside the silencer or are there any tricks involved? By the way do you also have an induction box fitted to your car as well? Simon N

Thanks for the posts, I will look for some decent ear plugs. Although I may need to pass them out as I travel along to members of the public! However, I am getting the feeling from the posts so far that the solution is to treat the symtom and not the cause. Could a combination of both may be the way forward? In which case my question still stands about the cause.

Thought of that, however, wife (in next seat) likes a response or two as we glide along together in the Seven.

Have worn mine for most of the day at events and track days, no problems, and I am no Arnie.

Just back from a great day at Stoneleigh via Silverstone to Bedford (step son left at Caterham Slalom day at Silverstone) and I have a headache. I have decided my car is too noisy. Any advice on a repack job on the silencer. It is a large diameter std R300-500 type with removable (I think) ring of allens screws at the Cat end. Need to remove a few dbs. Simon N

Cheked Speedo against sat nav today. Speedo = 80mph, sat nav = 73mph. 3500rpm = 64/5mph Running 13" wheels - I suspect 15" would go a long way to correcting the speedo to true speed error. Simon N

I have a broken heated screen with a large hole in it to validate the use of a helmet. I now always wear a helmet with the Aeroscreen. Without one you may look like my smiley Not sure about a neck support, bought one and found it a 'pain in the neck'! Simon N
