  8. I have been to Caterham today to get a new starter as I also had the "click of death". He sold me a new type which has the solenoid enclosed in the motor housing and does not require a spacer either. I hope its an improvement as the old one was only 3yrs old. C7 BLK Mem no 10929
  9. Not sure if its the same but had exactly that problem with a Cavalier. Turned out to be the fuel pump relay. It was a common fault on them. Simon

  11. I have a complete set of upper and lower wishbones and anti roll bar, as I have recently upgraded to widetrack. However they are as new having only covered about 7000 miles, but I split the top gaiter rubbers getting them off. Looking for about £250. Simon C7 BLK Mem no 10929
  12. Thanks John, Worked for me too *thumbup* Simon
  13. Just realized the turned down nut forms the lower part of the bearing sleeve and slides into the joint. The problem now is while trying to remove the eye from the shock, the nut on the shaft is just turning so won't come undone. Guess I will have to get it welded back onto the shaft 🙆🏻 The other one was fine. Oh well, the joys of Caterham ownership *cool* Simon
  14. Well, seems to be going OK. Done one side, started the other but missing a spacer which is on its way from CC. Had to remove alternater to get the bottom wishbone mounting bolt out! Anyone know why the replacement bottom upright nut is turned down? Simon

  17. My wide track kit has arrived from Caterham. Reading the note that came with it suggest that the springs have to be preloaded by adjusting the seats by 8mm. If adjustable seats are not fitted use the replacements provided. Am I right in thinking that my standard bilsteins are not adjustable? as there are no spring seats in the kit I guess they are missing. Anyone fitted one? Cheers Simon C7 BLK Mem no 10929

  19. When I built mine I could not get the brake pedal hard however many times I bled them. Bought a Gunsons easy bleed from Halfords and it was easy, only went round and opened the bleed nipples once and then had a rock hard pedal. Cost about £13 I think, well worth it. Simon C7 BLK
  20. Hi Paul, is it running now? What model is it, GTE? Manual or Auto? Colour? History? any pictures? Mileage? Simon C7 BLK
