  1. Does any one have a wiper delay unit going 🤔 With all those aeroscreen upgrades over winter, thought it would be a good time! Andy ----------------------------------- Seven - wonders of the World!
  2. Thanks for the info. I'll make a few enquiries. Any recommendation of suppliers?, otherwise I was just going to go through Low Flying and find a couple. Thanks Andy ----------------------------------- Seven - wonders of the World!
  3. Thanks Rob, Does anyone know if you can just replace the straight cut gears with semi-helical or is it a whole new box then?. I thought that this might be a more cost effective solution. Regards Andy ----------------------------------- Seven - wonders of the World!
  4. Car: Ex track car VX ’97 with 220bhp (2 litre inj) I currently have a Quaife straight cut pro box, 5 speed, and whilst I know the box is a quality unit, the noise is finally beginning to get to me, as the car is now basically a road car ! What do people think the best alternatives might be?. Perhaps semi-helical box, or the standard 6 speed Caterham box?. If I went down the semi-helical route, would the noise be gone, or just much lower?. I thought a 6 speed would be nice, but the long 1st on the Quaife box is excellent. Are the any considerations regarding the BHP of the car and selection of box? Thanks Andy ----------------------------------- Seven - wonders of the World!
  5. Don’t suppose anyone has a spare windscreen washer nozzle 🤔 Thanks Andy ----------------------------------- Seven - wonders of the World!
  6. Adrian, I can't get your email from BlatChat. Please email me at Andy@RobinsGarth.co.uk or call 07802617105. Thanks Andy ----------------------------------- Seven - wonders of the World!
  7. Adrian, Am assuming its one of the plastic type ('96 onwards I think). In which case, please consider it sold! 😬 Will email you my details. Regards Andy ----------------------------------- Seven - wonders of the World!
  8. I think the elements are finally catching up with me, and I’d thought I’d fit a heater. 😳 Am after one of the newer plastic type (light weight), c/w cables etc. Would be going in a 1996 Vauxhall powered (if that makes a difference). Thanks ----------------------------------- Seven - wonders of the World!

  10. Well I was thinking of upgrading to the swivel joint, but in view of the replies, think I'll stay put. Where is everybody getting the bushes from, direct from Caterham? Cant see how anyone can fit under the car without jacking it up. Maybe I'm just a fat 🙆🏻 ❗ Andy ----------------------------------- Seven - wonders of the World!
  11. Have just discovered that the rear bushing by the diff on my live axle xflow was gone. Complete gone, not even a trace. Spoke to a Gent at Western Road Garage in Shoreham who suggested replacing the assembly with a swivel joint, requiring a section of the A frame to be replaced. Around £100. Would like to know if that's a good way to go 🤔 I was thinking perhaps the original bushing could be replaced with a Stainless one, or perhaps Brass; any thoughts? Regards Andy ----------------------------------- Seven - wonders of the World!
  12. Thanks. I've found the switch, and its fine. Problem was with the short (3 inches) of wire between a crimp and the bulb. Who would believe it All sorted. Andy ----------------------------------- Seven - wonders of the World!
  13. The MOT is due next week, thought I'd just give everything a quick check and found the reversing lights don't work. Bulbs fine so am trying to find the reversing switch. Any ideas? Thought I'd may have to remove the whole engine/gearbox so would seem a good time to pop an all steel engine in !! Thanks Andy ----------------------------------- Seven - wonders of the World!
