  6. I assume that you work for Hyperion Motorsport? My car is actually at your place at the moment, its the 1.4 k series ss that races in the 750MC, my name is Richard Webb, Dickie and Doug know me. If it is right that you do work for Hyperion maybe you could look at the car and see if the rad will fit. I am calling later so I may ask then as well. Richie
  7. Will the Aluminium Radiator fit a 1995 1.4 SS ? Is it the narrower race type?

    Non-starter

After washing my 1.4 K Series SS I tried to start it and nothing happened. Afetr a bit of detective work I found that a fuse had blown, I replaced said fuse and it started. 1 week later I washed it again, same thing happened, blown fuse, now it is just consistently blowing fuses, and won't start. We have left it a few days but still no start. The fuse seems to control the fuel pump, and probable the starter motor, it is 15 amp. Can anybody suggest any reasons? Cheers Richie
  9. I used exhaust wrap on my racing Caterham last season but had it taken off by Ratrace who are supporting me this season. Their reasoning was that it was added weight, it had a negligable effect on performance, it made it difficult to get to any engine parts in the exhaust area, it looked messy, and a light weight cloth heat sheild does a better job of protecting the alternator and other electrics. As you can see I wouldn't recommend it. Richie
  10. Thought I would bring this back to the top as I have the same problem. Also, does anybody know the best way to clean up the aluminium? There is an awful lot of it in the car, I do not need concourse as the car is only used for racing, and I do not want to have to spend ages and loads of elbow grease doing it. Richie

  12. I have 13" Minilites on my car that I only use for racing. Only one of the 3 sets of wheels/tyres that I have have wheels in good nick. I want to spray the other 2 sets of wheels in chrome silver. Does anybody have any experience with this? What paint is best to use? Can I just use a spray can from Halfords? Bear in mind that this is for racing not concourse. Help very much appreciated. Richie
