  2. A pc625 for me aswell please Thanks, Phil Smith Limegreen 1.8 Superlight No. 89
  3. Peter, Thanks for the info, sounds like a must have. Any idea which one would be better suited to a 1.8k superlight. Is it a direct swap? ie will the battery tray/retainer need modifying and are the Connections still screw type? Will a standard mains battery charger still work with them? Found a draper battery conditioner in halfords for £20 didn’t think that was bad? Thanks again, Phil Phil Smith Limegreen 1.8 Superlight No. 89
  4. A quick question, What are the benefits of these drycell types over the standard factory fit? Weight? longevity? safety when competing? My 7 doesn’t get used that much and the immobiliser drain/mains charging cycle has finally killed it. Would one of these drycells take this kind of abuse any better or will I still need to look into getting a battery conditioner? Thanks
  5. Interested In the vhpd throttle bodies, any idea how much you want for them? Not being to familiar with the early vhpd set up I assume you are selling everything I need to bolt them straight on to a std 1800 k series head (bodies, manifold, fuel rail, injectors, trumpets, throttle linkage etc) Thanks Phil Phil Smith Limegreen 1.8 Superlight No. 89
  6. Can anyone recommend a garage local to me that is sensitive to the needs of a seven! It's MOT time again and I need to make it as stress free as possible. I Live in Nantwich near Crewe and would be prepared to travel a few miles. Thanks Phil Smith Limegreen 1.8 Superlight No. 89

  9. Took of the IACV to clean it as suggested, its now in 4 pieces and totally knackered , got a replacement from Dave Andrews, put this on the engine and it still wont start properly, same symptoms as before, fires first turn, revs to 1500-2000 then dies, wont start again unless you tickle the gas pedal. Help please. ☹️ ☹️ ☹️ Phil Smith Limegreen 1.8 Superlight No. 89
  10. Mark, Not wishing to sound to thick but what is a IACV, and where will i find it? Thanks
  11. Every time i come to start the car from cold its turns over normally, fires first time, revs to around 1500 momentarly then dies. Turn it over again and it wont fire up unless you give it a bit of throttle, even then it usually fires and dies a couple more times with the odd pop and bang. When it does eventually start theres a big puff of smoke from the exhaust, its idle is a bit lumpy and the fumes stink (bit like a knackerd old 205 with the choke out full). When warm it starts normally. The car is a 1.8 superlight, with std mems and catalyst exhaust. It was used throughtout last summer, but has sat idle with the battery disconected over winter. I have tried resetting the ECU (ignition on, press the accelerator 6 times, ignition off) but its not cured the problem. Any suggestions?? Thanks Phil Smith Limegreen 1.8 Superlight No. 89
  12. I have a 1999 ‘k’ series that doesn’t get used enough, the family bus spends most of the time with my wife behind the wheel and my £150 wreak is about to fail its MOT and needs the usual insurance and road tax etc. If I start to use the seven through the winter months will it completely ruin it?? The underside of the car and the rear suspension are heavily wax oiled and the windscreen surround is black so the only exposed unprotected aluminium is the inside of the engine bay. I realise salt and cars (of any type) don’t go together well, but will the seven come of worse then most?? I could cope with rinsing it off every week or so but if I had to do it every day to prevent any damage that would become a problem. I would appreciate any comment and recommendations for corrosion free winter. Thank for your help. Phil Smith Limegreen 1.8 Superlight No. 89
