I have one of the bonnet and nosecone racks, it too sits adjacent to the kitchen door.  When in use the nosecone is exactly the same height as Paul Richards' head.  

Not raced but my Sigma sender failed twice when new.  It was a pain to change so bit the bullet and went mechanical with a low pressure warning light to boot.  You know it makes sense.

My 150 used a couple very early in it’s life. A re-map by the 2 Steves sorted that and smoothed everything out.

Standard Caterham ratios.  Handbook quotes, 3.36, 1.81, 1.26, 1.00, 0.82 and 3.37 for reverse.

I did the 150 to 175.  As I built my car the thought of swapping never entered the equation, the extra weight of the Duratec  over the Sigma needs taking into consideration.  Stuart also gives the engine a good health check along with very good quality components and a set up on a rolling road and backs it up should any problem arise.

I concur, save money and weight by buying the Sigma, then give that money to Stuart at Premier Power.

We looked at that but it closes at 4, Otturburn was just a loo stop, then we continued to Simonburn which stays open 'till 5

All in all a very enjoyable trip.

As well as clearance I would suggest that most modern tin tops use "long life" oil where it could be in the sump for two years. Whereas I suspect 7 owners change oil and filter annually with only a few thousand miles and therefore a smaller filter should be fine.

Sat Nav took us a different route from Reeth to Askrig. It was narrow, bumpy and not recommended. 

My first car was an Imp, a 1970 model.  It was Bronze as in the pic above.  The official colour was Tangerine.  It suffered from, rust, cooling problems, headgasket failure, oil leaks a plenty, water ingress into footwells.

Good idea and design, rushed into production and built by people who didn't care.  Shame really.

When using nylon screws just nick the shank of the screw, under the head, with a Stanley knife.  If needed to they shear at this point.  A full nylon screw could still pull out a rivnut.

I fitted Stuart's lightweight flywheel and smaller alternator kit in conjunction with a Two Steves remap and SPC gearbox.

 Worked very well but eventually went the 175 route.  No complaints.

I have one in my garage, complete with braided hose and friction plate.  Could be persuaded to part with them.
