The item you describe sounds like a flat plate with a block of rubber with a hole in it bonded on.

Would it be possible to fabricate a new plate with a piece of steel tube welded to it?The steel tube could then be used to mount a suitable poly bush.

Why not get some mechanical help from the engine and drive it on?

As I understand it, less than 50 Caterham 21's were built, so it's unlikely they could support a class of their own. I can't see any reason to not allow 21's into existing classes.

However....the club bylaws however restrict entries to Lotus and Caterham 7's only. See new website/home/legal documentation. The club would effectively need to change it's constitution to embrace these cars.

Mines a Facet solid state, about 40 quid plus vat from Raceline, also in the Demon Tweeks cat. It's mounted to an ally plate tucked under the fuel tank holding down straps.
