  1. In a break with normal protocol when our monthly pub meet clashes with a bank holiday, for the May first Monday pub meet at the Queen's Head I have decided not to delay the meet for one week as Monday 13th is the Caterham Yard Meet at Caffeine and Machine at West Meon, which I know a lot of you will be attending. Instead the Queen's Head meet will be delayed by one day and go ahead on Tuesday 7th May from 19:00 hrs. The Street, East Clandon, Guildford, Surrey GU4 7RY. What3words location "mimic.kept.snacks" The weather forecast for Tuesday evening at the time of posting looks like sun and around 17 degrees. Hope to see you all there, Regards Mark Lawrence Surrey AR, AR Liaison and Events Coordinator
  2. As April has now rolled round and the evenings are lighter and maybe a bit warmer its time to reinstate the third Tuesday pub meet at the Surrey Oaks in Newdigate. The first meet of the year will not be on a Tuesday but will be tomorrow evening,18th April, from 19:00hrs and the weather looks dry. From May the pub meet will revert to its usual 3rd Tuesday slot. The Surrey Oaks, Parkgate Street, Newdigate RH5 5DZ (what3words: public.skirt.taps) Hope to see you there Mark
  3. PLEASE NOTE: Owing to the Easter Monday Bank Holiday our first Monday of the month pub meet has been delayed by one week to the evening of 8th April but at the usual venue and time, 19:00hrs at the Queen's Head, The Street, East Clandon, Guildford, Surrey GU4 7RY. What3words location "mimic.kept.snacks" It's the first summertime meeting of the year and weather permitting I'd like to see a good turnout of Sevens. Hope to see you all there, Regards Mark
  4. Please note that first meeting of 2024 will be on Monday 8th January at the Queen's Head in East Clandon. This is effectively a week later than normal and will avoid a clash with New Year's Day.
  5. With some reluctance I have decided to suspend the Surrey Oaks 3rd Tuesday pub meet from the next scheduled meeting on 21st November until the clocks go forward again in 2024. I will asking area members early in 2024 whether we should find a new home for this pub meet or choose a new venue each month. Hopefully, whatever is decided we will see this pub meet attract the numbers it deserves and has enjoyed in the past. If you have any suggestions in the meantime please let me know on this blog
  6. It was. Mot so good today. Are you going to be at the Plough tomorrow? Mark

Link to CC online store for photo of product CC will charge you over fifty pounds for this bag when they have them in stock. £30 plus postage will secure sale
  8. Heading into the mother of all traffic queues from Randalls Road all the way to the junction of Woodlands Lane and Stoke Road. Didn't envy you even though you were in a Seven and I was in my tin top - fortunately for me I was heading in the other direction traffic free.
  9. Heading towards Sandown Park around 16:45
