  2. Have now bought my elise so need to clear out the garage, so exhaust, tonneau and tyres/oil still available. If no takers will put on fleabay.
  3. No takers for the job-lot so am splitting it up. Dibs on tonneau, tunnel bag, petty strut and RE bag. Exhaust, scrub tyres and oil still available.
  4. Having sold the 7 I'm now looking for an Elise 111R or similar for around £16k, let me know if you know of anyone selling. Thanks, John
  5. Now sold - see my other 'for sale' listing showing a bunch of accessories that are now up for sale. I'm now looking to buy an Elise 111R or 111S or Exige - please let me know if you know of anyone selling. Thanks
  6. UPDATED With the sale of my 7 this morning, I have some accessories that I need to sell off (all from a standard S3 body): Tonneau cover & bag - good condition with tillet pockets, hole for petty strut, central zip, bag with velcro fold-over (small rip but still water-tight) which can store the tonneau nicely behind the tillets. £90 SBFS touring tunnel bag - new from SBFS in 2013 (for £80), good condition, net pocket on drivers side & big pocket on passenger side. £50 SOLD SBFS RE bag - this is a one-off bag that SBFS made as a trial being 3 inches taller than the standard bag - made to the same high standard as all SBFS products, but it is not lined. Mounts round the roll-cage from the rear, has a very strong zip & velcro all the way round, and lots of poppers to secure it to the car and wire to lock to roll-cage. £100 SOLD Petty strut - £20 SOLD K-series exhaust silencer - 70cm long x 15cm diameter with a black metal guard. Exhaust manifold not included, and no cat in the silencer, could do with a bit of a clean and has a scuff on the underside of the exhaust tip, other than that looks in good clean condition, with only little use. £ Offers Scrub tyres - CR500s on 205/55/r13s, on the legal limit £20 5W50 oil - unopened 5ltr from halfords. £10Collection of the above from Didcot/South Oxfordshire area - I will only post the tunnel bag & tonneau (additional P&P cost) Send a BC msg or call/text 07977 299948. Thanks, John
  7. I've put mine to bed and SORN'd it for the winter but it is still looking for a new home if you're interested. Will be putting it back up for sale in the spring: http://www.lotus7.club/forum/sale/2003-caterham-superlight-r-orange
  8. Errr, bug* er .... how wierd, I have been receiving msgs via PH and I just tested it, so no idea why yours didn't come through. Thanks for the heads-up though, I will put a note on.
  9. BTT Not in a desperate rush to sell (other than wanting a different toy I can use more frequently!) so if this doesn't go in the next few weeks then I'll SORN it and re-list in the Spring.
  10. A much regrettable sale of my Caterham ‘Superlight R’ - it hasn't had enough use since the arrival of my son and move of my job last year. It is a full spec ‘Superlight R’, as follows: - 1.8 K-series VHPD 190 BHP engine - 6 Speed - 32k miles - Lamborghini Orange with bare carbon cycle and rear wings - black pack - 6" and 8" black Caterham 13" wheels with Avon CR500's (rears new 1,000 miles ago) - Apollo tank - LSD - FIA roll bar (petty strut also available) - Tillet Seats with Caterham 4 point harnesses - Momo quick release steering wheel - Carbon dash - Heater Also available by separate arrangement - SBFS touring tunnel bag & RE bag - tonneau & bag - original exhaust - petty strut - full hood & bag The car was originally kit built as a Touring Roadsport with factory VHPD upgrade, and upgraded spec listed above (first registered in April 2003). It was bought back by Caterham as they had a buyer (the previous owner to me) looking for this spec and was sold by Caterham in September 2003 as a ‘Superlight R’ (I have the receipt) and by me under the same assumption nearly 3 yrs ago. It does not have the Superlight R plaque/number, but it is a Superlight R specification car. The car has been kept to a meticulously high standard - every year it has been serviced by Caterham or Caterham recommended dealers. Service was just complete 2-3 weeks ago (incl coolant flush/change & rear pads), previous work recently carried out includes 12k mile service last yr (£1k+) including sump gasket, foam baffles, brake fluid, cam belt, steering rack boots & rear tyres (CR500s), new heated windscreen, starter motor a couple of yrs ago. Massive folder containing every receipt from every ££££ spent on it! In terms of spec and performance this sits between the R300 & R400, closer to the R400s in terms of power but a fraction of the price. Being totally honest it has a couple of minor cosmetic imperfections as you'd expect of a car this age (tip of exhausted scuffed on a kerb, rear rims scuffed at tyre fitment, stone chips on the nose, etc), but is mechanically sound and has been extremely well looked after. It is a simply fantastic car in a great colour combination with the full spec. I am based in South Oxfordshire/Didcot area. No timewasters or overseas buyers - genuine buyers only. I have already had interest already (also advertised elsewhere), but it is still available. Price reduced to: £16,995 ovno - this is a great price for this top spec car. In the interests of time, keenly priced to sell. On PH and ebay: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/caterham/all-models/superlight-r--lamborghini-orange-and-bare-carbon-wings/4628008
  11. BTT on a sunny day... couple of folk interested but no takers yet, so its still for sale.
  12. Some new information has come to light on the history of my car, which helps to answer your question Mark (no it has a 'C' in the chassis number)... Harrie Kandola (kand300, who prints Low Flying) has been in touch with me as follows... "I see you have your Seven for sale. This was originally my car. You may already know this info - I bought it in 2003 from a dealer in Northwich as a built car which had not been SVA'd and registered (originally built by the son of Jack Walker - Blackburn Rovers Chairman). It was a Touring Roadsport with factory VHPD upgrade (hence why it has no Superlight R badge) with unpainted body and green fibreglass wings, yellow nose cone, leather seats and rear wheel carrier. I got the car SVA'd and registered (not by Caterham) and then got Kenrick Motors to strip it for painting Lamborgini Orange. At the same time I upgraded to: Tillets, Carbon wings, remove wheel carrier, fit Apollo tank, R300 wheels/tyres, black pack windscreen and black lights. I actually only drove it for about 1000 miles and only sold it as Caterham made me a great offer to buy it as they had a buyer looking for a similar spec car." He goes on to say that he was always interested in buying it back but that timing isn't right now so he'll have to let it go. So I thought it only fair to be honest and upfront with this new information. I wasn't aware of any of this, hence only adding now - to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. Caterham sold it to the previous owner as a 'Superlight R' (I have the Caterham invoice!) and I under the same assumption, but none-the-less it is still a high spec & highly desirable car. I have updated my PH advert, and also updated/changed the photos for better ones... http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/caterham/all-models/superlight-r--lamborghini-orange-and-bare-carbon-wings/4628008 My price for a badged SLR was cheap, so I feel that my price is still a fair price for a high-spec car, so it still remains for sale (2 viewings booked in the next week)... John
  13. After the debates about price and reaching BC consensus that my revised price was fair, I have now found the car I want to buy so I need to sell the SLR fairly soon. So I have reduced the price to £17,990. I would (reluctantly) take c.£17.5k to sell. now on PH: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/caterham/all-models/2003-superlight-r--lamborghini-orange-and-bare-carbon-wings/4628008 This is a bargain at this price!
  14. Yeah I was surprised on the date when I bought but it was kit built so registered a bit later - first registered April 2003, then went back to the factory for checking over & re-sold shortly after to the previous owner I bought from.
  15. I have a couple of interested people but in the interests of fairness, it is still available at the moment... Price (after some very helpful advice from forum members, thank you!) is £18,950 - open for discussion. John
  16. Looks like you're right Chris - the number of calls and texts I've had this morning would imply I shouldn't let it go for that money... thanks for the advice will put the price up! John
  17. A much regrettable sale of my Caterham SLR - hasn't had enough use since the arrival of my son and move of my job last yr. It is a standard spec Superlight R, as follows: 2003 Superlight R with1.8 series VHPD 190 BHP engine, 6 Speed, Lamborghini Orange, bare carbon cycle and rear wings, black Pack, 6" and 8" Black Caterham 13" wheels With CR500's, Apollo Tank, FIA Roll Bar (petty strut also available), Tillet Seats, Caterham 4 point Harnesses, Quick release Momo Steering Wheel, Carbon dash, Heater, Full Weather Equipment & SBFS extras also available. 32k miles. The guy I bought the car off (in Jan 2013) had owned the car from virtually new. Has been serviced by Caterham South and more recently Millwood Caterham (cambelt, 12k service, etc) and Caterham specialist. All bills, MOTs, documents, etc. Service just complete last week and MOT May. It is a simply fantastic car - and one of the few un-modified but highly sought after Superlight Rs. Based in South Oxfordshire/Didcot area. Was £19k, now reduced to £17,990 to sell. Drop me a msg or call on 07977 299948. I would be interested in a swap or px for a 2004 onwards Elise 111.
  18. Sorry Jonathan, only just seen your reply - there are photos of the chairs on the fleabay listing. I've now listed the table and chairs combined, I'd take £450 from a BCer, which is an amazing price given I bought these a couple of years ago for about a grand. My new table and chairs has now been delivered so this needs to go.
  19. French oak dining table with beautiful carved legs & extendable breadboard, and 6 chapel chairs http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291400057899?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 We now have our new table, so this has to go - I will consider reasonable offers.
  20. Bit early for my son (currently 7 months), but have heard these are great - maybe in a year or 2...
  21. I've just listed my father-in-law's Sports Tourer bike. He's owned from new and is well looked after: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-Pan-European-ST1100A-/291343400665?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item43d56b7ed9 let me know if anyone interested. John
