James - I've just send you a PM

It is normal/acceptable to run different tyres front and rear? I currently have CR500 all round, but the rears are close to the wear bars, and as I am off to Anglesey at the end of the month for a track day, I don't fancy driving back on them. As was thinking of going for a pair of ZZS at the rear until the fronts need changing too.
Comments?

There is such a thing as super glue remover - I remember my parents having some when my brother stuck his fingers together. That was years ago though.
-
nice work. Fitting one of these was the first thing I did myself on the car and gave me sufficient confidence to then go on an fit shift lights.

Payment sent
thanks for organising

The panel covering the battery master switch should be removable (mine is actually cutaway, but the one on the passenger side which covers the wiper motor I did remove). I think you just have to undo some screws and it pulls out upwards.
-
I suspect you could. Mines taken from the switched side so I know everything is switched off when i leave the car. But I dont seem to need to trickle charge my battery.
-
If you have a battery master switch you can take the live feed from that which is easily done. Mine too is attached to the bulkhead on the passenger side.

We are in the Premier Inn in Caernarfon. It's 30mins away from the circuit but only £45 per night.

They do indeed seem to be a bargain, but in the middle of no-where. They are also cheap down the coast in Caernarfon. Apart from the hardy campers, where are other people looking at staying?

Following a PM (thank you ajroberts), I'll take a pair please (if they'll go on a metric chassis). Let me know how and when you want the money.

Will they fit a metric S3 with std suspension (not widetrack) with 7" headlamps? If so then yes please. If they need 5 3/4" headlamps then probably anyway and I will change them at the same time (any excuse)!
I have just tried to read back over this thread to find the answers to these questions but without success.

I inadvertently found mine the other day when installing my shift lights. I removed 'some random tape' from a 'random thingy' and thought nothing of it. The next time I drove my 7 I was assaulted by this high pitched squeeking whenever I used the indicators. The tape has now been re-instated.

Booking form sent off
Just having a look at hotels for Thursday night. Do you have any idea where the evening meal might be, as I will try and book somewhere near by?

Deleted. Wrong thread

hmm - I do. I've never thought of that

You have to take out the knee panels to fit the brackets anyway. Just whip them out and go aero!
-
Do you really need them? I don't have them and can quickly change between aero and screen. I don't have the knee trim on the passenger side so I can easily get to the bolts and washers on the passenger side, and the drivers side is already cut out.
Save yourself the few extra grams and go without (and without the passenger knee trim). Certainly don't wait for them to try out the aero experience.

Seems high to me. My 1.6K (135bhp) came with new front CR500 when I bought it. I've done one track day, a couple of Dunsfolds, and about 5000 miles and they dont need replacing yet (and I think my car understeers more than I would like).

Has there been a booking form for this yet? If so where can I get one; and if not when will be able to confirm?
thanks Jon
