I bought mine direct from Avon and had them delivered. There's a contact number on the benefits page

A curious issue. The 'autostop' on a pump nozzle is triggered by the end of the nozzle being immersed in fuel (it covers a small tube that runs inside the main delivery tube which is constantly 'sucking'. As soon as it is unable to 'suck' it shuts off the valve in the handle). The fact that you can overflow the fuel tank filler pipe without fully covering the whole nozzle tip would suggest that maybe the nozzle tip isn't in far enough, or is too horizontal so that fuel can flow back and out underneath the nozzle, or something else that is preventing the nozzle from being immersed.
As with others - I always have the other problem and have to find the right position to prevent it auto-stopping constantly.

If an S-type seat is what a 'normal' leather seat is, I used a Trunki Boostapak with my kids. Fits an S3, and gives you a backpack at the end of the journey.

doesn't look Caterham - phone mount maybe?

I've some for sale in the For Sale section

I've got some for sale at the moment. Tyres are old though
-
I'm selling a set of 8 spoke anthracite in the For Sale section. 6" fronts, 8" rear.

As title. These come with tyres (CR500s) but they are old (09) so probably not best for doing too much on.
They're in reasonable condition, the rears have slight scoring from the dedion but the powder coating hasn't started to blister in the vicinity. Also there is a chip in the powder coating by one of the rear nut holes.
£500 - collection only please from Hitchin, North Herts

I got mine from Redline

My electrical sender failed in the same way - gradually lower and lower pressure readings. Replaced with mechanical sender bought from Think Auto. Can dig out the part numbers if you need.

nice vid. Out of interest, the camera view seems to move relative to the roll cage. Is this in the edit, or is there really that much movement in the camera mount?

I've run aeroscreen and no doors at all my previous UK trackdays without any issue.

Just tried to book myself onto the Snetterton track day on 27th July and see that it is full :( . I clearly should have pulled my finger out a while ago.
Is there a 'waiting list' for the event in case someone can't make it?
Thanks
Jon

I got married there (random fact)

There's a few of us in Hitchin, but it wasn't me
-
Thank you both. Aeroscreens - I can see that this morning is going to be unproductive at work as I read through that 'not really a blog' :) . Tom, I may well drop you a BM later today.

Does anyone have a link to a strip down, chassis re-powder coat & reskin, and then rebuild blog? My 2006 k series is looking a bit tired after being driven in all weathers and me not being much of a polisher. I quite fancy a 'project' and was wondering what some of the challenges might be, what sort of time scale, cost etc and i thought reading someone's previous experience might be useful. I'm not a million miles from Arch which makes it marginally easier.
While I am pretty practical (DIY, cycle mechanics, and woodwork) car mechanics are a bit of a closed book to me, but I like to think I could manage.
Thanks

I've got a Trunki car seat (which doubles as a ridgid back pack) for my S3 with leather seats. I have a 4 point harness and have to slide the seat forward a bit to make sure you can tighent the shoulder straps sufficiently. We probably started using it when my kids were 5yrs old.
-
Just booked. Weather looks good, can't wait to get out there .
-
just replaced my failed electric sensor with a mechanical on my k-series. I am not a spanner, but it was pretty straight forward. I bought all the bits from ThinkAuto (thinkauto.com).
Gauge: OPG100
Hose: GL7
Connector: MMS5-3-45£71 all in.
The hardest thing was pushing the hose/pipe through the gromet in front of the gear stick and I had to rope in the small hands of my 10yr old son.

Great stuff Andrew. I have used your excellent advice on both my k-click issue (very good wiring diagrams) and also oil temperature senders. I am sure I will refer to your information again and again in the future.

Not sure if you found this thread from Andrew Revill, but it may be useful.

I am just planning on doing the same thing myself, although I have an apollo so my temp sender is in that.

I see these two sometimes between Waterloo and Blackfriars station in London. A Citroen SM and a DS estate. Both sitting on the road uncovered.
