  1. you could try cleaning it!!
  2. This is ridiculous!! Just last year Spent £9k on a W*******d with K -Series engine cos no one would sell me a Caterham for the right money. I even provisionally agreed to pay Woodcote sportscars £12,750 for an L-reg car, only to be told that he changed his mind and was asked £13k. Offered a bloke selling his N-reg car for £13k - £12k for it and he turned it down....then a month later, after I bought the w*******d he sold it for £12k Whats going on. If I could only sell my W*******d i'd buy it but they have all got this meathead...'i wanted one with cycle wings' attitude!!...kuhh......people!! AND NOW..people are giving their cars away......for £9k!!! whats happening......somebody buy it please...before i loose the plot completely.....nurse.....NURSE.......NUUURRRSSSEEEE!!! mad.gifsad.gif Edited by - gabbleratchet on 13 May 2002 20:59:52
  3. Would it be possible for me to have a copy please? I would be very grateful! Thank you very much. pretty please.
  4. Thanks for the posts.... ive been fiddling on and off this afternoon....and with no garage im annoyed AND wet!! ...reading through the countless threads I hope I dont believe it to be the immobiiliser (hope not anyway)....but sounds like it might be 'ye olde solenoid problem' I hope so anyway. Will investigate further tomorrow lunchtime. thanks again (makes note - 'must remember to search threads before sending s.o.s. next time') Edited by - gabbleratchet on 27 Jan 2002 19:39:08
  5. Wonder if anyone has experienced this before and can through some light on it? 1.6 K-Series Turn ignition on, hear (immobiliser?) whirr, wait a second, turn ignition fully and....absolutely nothing!! not even a sound. But...if i roll the car forward a foot and roll it back, it turns and starts as normal!!? Have tried setting the alarm with the plip then turning it off again but this makes no difference, only the rolling of the car enables starting. Is it the immobiliser? although I hear it whirr or is it some sort of inertia switch somewhere getting stuck? The only time i've seen this before is in the wifes metro. If she gets out of the car, the immobiliser automatically kicks in, if she forgets to push the smooth button on the plip the car wont start, in exactly the same manner.
  6. Mine does it anyway...even with standard 1.6 K-Series and MEMS.
  7. Thanks for the reply Nigella!... .....beginning to think I was as popular as Arrowstar!! My problem seems exactly as you describe....will investigate with purpose now......thanks
  8. Having a few probs. with gear selection. A continuing problem is that 1st and second are often hard to select unless i select reverse first. Clutch will not adjust anymore so I think this might be down to syncro function. Is it always this hard? I think I hate Ford gearboxes! A more disturbing problem is that I can go through the 'H' supposedly selecting said gears but it is nothing unusual for '2nd' position to have selected 4th and '1st' to have selected 3rd!!....beginning to drive me nuts. If anyone can shed light on possible causes and solutions I would be very grateful..... Thanks all..
