  1. I had one of these back in the day, an F-reg 1.6i-16 also in Silver.

with 130bhp screamer, 895kg and double wishbone suspension alround it was fantastic!

Not surprised they're also rapidly turning classic...

  2. Hi Andrew,

Is the Mini Cooper book by John Tipler still available? If so, yes please! Can you reply or blatmail what the total will be for regular mainland UK delivery. Thanks, Jon

  3. Hi,

My windscreen washer tubing is well and truly clogged up and needs replacing. Please can you advise what exactly I need to remove to gain access to the jet onto the windscreen end of the tube?

I've never removed the scuttle or windscreen and simply don't have the time to go on a venture of discovery to find out how it is done, so thank you very much in advance for your guidance!

  4. Hi Ian,

I could mess about with the discs - or just buy another pair for £24 including postage and VAT!

The brakes were binding on the offside front wheel at certain points as it was turned by hand, we stuck it on the brake tester and at constant pedal  pressure there was a notable spot on each rotation.

On the road it doesn't drive/brake badly but would certainly be good to get more "pedal" and I'm pretty sure my master cylinder has not been touched in 21 years besides fluid changes.

  5. Thank you.

Would be very useful to know which seals exactly to order - I'll need to speak to people after Easter now I suspect.

Also, can anyone advise which master cylinders are likely to be compatible? Are the newer (described as 2007 onwards) cylinders usable on earlier cars without major modifications?

  6. Just passed an MOT with advisories on the front brakes. The standard discs appear to have warped causing the brakes to grab on every rotation.

While I'm replacing the discs and pads, I thought it worthwhile trying to address the fact that the brakes have been pretty spongy for some time regardless of how much they are bled. I have stardard 1994 spec Girling brake cylinder, standard Triumph Spitfire discs and MGB535 M1144 pads.

Is it worth trying to replace the seals? know the best place to get a service kit? Am I better trying to pick up a newer M/C? Anyone got one having upgraded?

    Many thanks,

    Jon

  7. BTTT - The price is not fixed and it would be good if it went to a good home this year *wavey*

Fabulous car, so sad I really can't use it any more. You find the perfect daily driver (having trialled an eclectic mix) and then have no place in your life for a daily driver ☹️

  8. Pistonheads AD

Great learner legal Honda 125cc scooter first registered 23 October 2013 (so still under manufacturers 2 year warranty). This model has the later, stronger and more efficient ESP engine with auto stop-start, a top speed of 70mph and up to 130 mpg economy!

I've added a small Oxford digital clock with temperature and ice warnings (strangely there is no clock as standard)

I'm selling as completing my direct access license I'm buying a 600cc motorbike.

Light metallic blue, Full Service History, Data tagged, Owners manual and spare key.

Only negatives are minor scratches on the offside fairing from a stationary drop by the previous owner.

  9. Sadly forced to sell my lovely Cayman because of the loss of my work parking permit - I'm going to have to resort to a mix of two-wheeled transport and parking a sheddy car on the deepest darkest back streets. I got this news while on holiday so have not prepared a formal advert yet but thought I would offer it here first.
