  1. I'm talking rubbish the hexagon head is not the filler plug!

Also I'm looking on the wrong side of the box!

  2. Thanks all,

a good few methods to try there.

I have two holes in the side of the transmission tunnel, one in line with the reverse light

switch the other bang on the speedo sender. I can't see the filler plug through these.

From under the car looks like a hexagon head on filler plug.

Not had the car long so don't know how much oil is left in the box with the leak!

    Thanks Jonathan

  3. What is the best route to access the gearbox filler plug.

If it's from under the car do you fill it until the oil runs out on your face!

Also what is the lower fitting with two wires and is it supposed to wobble about and leak oil ?

    Thanks Jonathan.

  4. Hi Guys,

    Its a 2006 k series.

I've unpluged the front and rear lights from the loom and it still goes pop!

The gauges and some switches still light up, don't know if the last three on the left

should illuminate *redface* Only had the car 6 days *biggrin*

I can not see any damage to the loom at the back of the car.

    Jonathan.

  5. My l/h side light fuse keeps blowing. *mad*

    Is this common?

I think there is an earthing problem but I can't find it *cry*

    Has anyone any ideas.

Also is the number plate light on this fuse, or is that another fault?

    Thanks

    Jonathan

  6. hi simon

sorry for the delay in replying. How 'scruffy' is it would you say. Postage may be prohibitively expensive to the North West, any idea on costs?

    cheers

  7. Hi RJ,

(utter rubbish) I didn't like to say at the time, but like you say any thing can be painted black!

Do you think the position of the stamping sounds correct for metric.

All the other suggestions like metric bolts and wing mountings I didn't note, should have asked these questions before I veiwed the car.

I thought I could check from the chassis number.

    Thanks again.

  8. Many thanks, Simon, Weeman and RJ ,

the car I have looked at has the chassis number stamped on the nearside close to the battery. The chassis number dates it as 06.

The seller said the black bulkhead indicates a metric chassis, what do you think?

    Thanks *smile*
