  1. I'm going to order a new sender today and fit it and see if that makes a difference, if not then it must be the foam and I'll cancel the trackday until I can change it.

Its interesting you all comment on the senders not lasting long, I built my car 19 years ago and thsi is the first issue I've had with it the sender

  2. I have a 1.8 Supersport K Series, now 19 years old. For the first time ever I have noticed low oil pressure on tickover (at the top of the red) and the gauge reading lower than normal even when under load, there also seems to be some "stickiness" about the reading which I haven't seen before. The oil is relatively new and is at the correct level, so I'm thinking it could be a faulty oil pressure sender??

    Has anyone experienced this before?

Does anyone know where to find the oil pressure sender and is it easy to change?

    Thanks in advance

  3. Thanks all, will have a go later this week when I have some support on the brake pedal *tongue*

Also currently have a slight squeak i think from the fromt brakes when doing about 40mph, it sounds like a canary so not consistent, will check pads but think they are OK, wondered if I had warped front discs? Also brakes squeal but only intermitently, so is the trick copper grease on the back of the pads?

    Thanks in advance

  4. Is ot as easy as open the bleed valves and pump until its drained, close, refill and then bleed from the longest pipe first??

Anyone know the correct order or any ideas for ensuring I have all the air out of the rear calipers?

  5. Is there a brand or type that would be better than the standard Halfords stuff??

I do a mixture of road and track miles, but do notice a softer pedal after some hard driving on track. Running standard disks and brakes btw.

    Thoughts appreciated

  6. I figured what you suggested might be the way to do it, but wanted to be sure that spray carpet adhesive wouldn't harm the outer skin of the sidescreen, plus any tips obviously from anyone who has tried it before

  7. Soap and water seemed to get most of it off, I drank the can of Pepsi Max....rather then waste it on the car *lick*

Hopefully the remaining "gunk" won't eat its way through the aluminium?
