  1. £100 if you collect. If posted will plus P&P at cost
  2. Caterham 7 Half Hood (my car had FIA Roll Bar), including bag and straps, minimal usage, excellent condition. Offers? Location Bookham, Surrey.
  3. To be fair have all been fairly hard miles!!
  4. Redline components on holiday for a week and Caterham out of stock, any other ideas?
  5. I'm going to order a new sender today and fit it and see if that makes a difference, if not then it must be the foam and I'll cancel the trackday until I can change it. Its interesting you all comment on the senders not lasting long, I built my car 19 years ago and thsi is the first issue I've had with it the sender
  6. Yes I still have foam, that had crossed my mind, hopefully will make it through a trackday on Friday!! Thanks Guys
  7. Thanks Guys, I've located it and it does look pretty rough but 19 years in, I guess I'm not surprised! Maybe a stupid question, but do I need to drain the oil to fit a new sender?
  8. I have a 1.8 Supersport K Series, now 19 years old. For the first time ever I have noticed low oil pressure on tickover (at the top of the red) and the gauge reading lower than normal even when under load, there also seems to be some "stickiness" about the reading which I haven't seen before. The oil is relatively new and is at the correct level, so I'm thinking it could be a faulty oil pressure sender?? Has anyone experienced this before? Does anyone know where to find the oil pressure sender and is it easy to change? Thanks in advance
  9. What is the appropriate frequency for coolant change please?
  10. I run 888's, I'd seriously reccomend them, brilliant in the dry, OK in the wet, nightmare in standing water. As others have said very compliant on the road and pretty cheap to buy.
  11. Thanks all, will have a go later this week when I have some support on the brake pedal Also currently have a slight squeak i think from the fromt brakes when doing about 40mph, it sounds like a canary so not consistent, will check pads but think they are OK, wondered if I had warped front discs? Also brakes squeal but only intermitently, so is the trick copper grease on the back of the pads? Thanks in advance
  12. Is ot as easy as open the bleed valves and pump until its drained, close, refill and then bleed from the longest pipe first?? Anyone know the correct order or any ideas for ensuring I have all the air out of the rear calipers?
  13. Bugger, I boughtbthe glue and was going to try that this wek, do you have any post surgery photos Harry?
  14. Thanks guys, have gone for the Comma DOT 5.1, gotta be better than the old stuff that's in it!! Ian
  15. I think it will be OK, I flushed it with loads of water
  16. 3-5 years ago, so I know it needs doing, just wondered if there was an upgraded option better for track use??
  17. Is there a brand or type that would be better than the standard Halfords stuff?? I do a mixture of road and track miles, but do notice a softer pedal after some hard driving on track. Running standard disks and brakes btw. Thoughts appreciated
  18. Thanks, not sure its worth the expense of a trimmer but might have a go woth some spray adhesive at some point Thanks Ian
  19. I figured what you suggested might be the way to do it, but wanted to be sure that spray carpet adhesive wouldn't harm the outer skin of the sidescreen, plus any tips obviously from anyone who has tried it before Ian
  20. Just where I couldn't quite get it to the bonnet folds and the small groves around the battery tray, well flushed with water though
  21. Soap and water seemed to get most of it off, I drank the can of Pepsi Max....rather then waste it on the car Hopefully the remaining "gunk" won't eat its way through the aluminium?
