  1. These are photos of my car with Steve's ABS carbon effect doors fitted:

ABS half doors fitted with RiF aero

ABS half doors outside close-up view

    Inside view showing elbow room

Leading edge bent to fit inside scuttle

I cut, bent and shaped them to fit very much like the MOG ones (that I couldn't afford *rolleyes*). I was pretty happy with the result *cool*

  2. Hi Anthony,

I've never a had problem with mine...that's cursed it then (Murry Walker style) 😬

The system is programmed to arm after 30 seconds, there is a delay function that will arm it after 5 mins but you have to follow the procedure every time *rolleyes*

It's in the manual which is on its way to you (I hope).

    cheers Andy

  3. Spotted CliffC's smashing orange SV at Compton Abbas, he was having a birthday flight 😬 Unfortunately I was in the tintop with the family *cry*

And then about an hour later at The Courtyard Centre, Lychett Minster...enjoying a Dorset Cream Tea. 😬 Yum..

  4. Mapping optimises the power output of the engine by adjusting the fueling and ignition timing at various "load points" and RPMs.

Basically it means you don't use too much (rich) or too little (lean) fuel to achieve maximum power and/or torque. If you run lean you will get "pinking" under load which can destroy your piston lands or melt holes in your pistons at high revs. If you are running VERY rich you can get bore wash where all the lubrication gets removed from the rings, also you emissions will be very poor. Both of these can reduce the power output of your car. Turbo cars are often set up to be rich at high rpm because the excess fuel is used to "cool" the cylinders keeping the exhaust gases lower and thus helping to produce more power without damaging the engine.

If you change something major on your engine like new throttle bodies, new design exhaust primaries, fuel pressure regulator, injectors or high power fuel pump you can get you ECU re-mapped to take advantage of the new performance parts.

  5. Paul, I had the same problem when I fitted mine recently. The mirror is a perfect fit in the aeroscreen dip *rolleyes*

    My solution was to fit the mirror on a little plinth;

    Centre mirror on a plinth

The plinth is actually a plastic bun foot used for furniture, I think I got them in B&Q for a set of bookshelves.

I can now see the cycle wing through the gap that is created.

    cheers Andy

  6. Hi Jack, mine returns back to the thermostat housing; so I believe that 2 is correct.

This connection wasn't disturbed when the PRRT was fitted, it was left connected but the thermostat housing was opened to remove the [failed] thermostat and replace with the restricting washer.

    I hope that helps *smile*

  7. Hi Roy, my humble opinion is...

This looks like a good example of an early R500. The mileage shouldn't be an issue because all the maintenance provides reassurance that the car has been looked after, after all it's only done about 3K miles per year and has had a recent engine and gearbox refresh. It has a lot of road going options, it was obviously not bought as an R500 race car!

If I was looking for a high performance Seven I would look at this one and hopefully you be able to take it for a test drive (or test ride). It could be worth seeing if somebody with a lot of Seven experience could come with you to take a look *wink*

  8. Hi Duh, I'm interested in your set of CR500's *thumbup*. You say little used so how much tread is there and I presume they are in good (undamaged) condition?

Are you accepting 1st dibs, if so please mark me down for them *wink*

I will Blat Mail you about payment, shipping etc.

    cheers
