I have a 2004 2.0L zetec I'm going to put into a seven. All the aftermarket ECU's are very $. Does anyone know of standard ECU that can be gotten out of the scrap yard that would be good to use (and allows easy modification to the chip programming)? I'm not so interrested in pure performance at this stage and want to keep the cost down Thanks

I will be mating the short shaft (7" input shaft length) to a 2.0L 2004 ford focus zetec with a 1.8L zetec flywheel (lighter than the 2.0L flywheel). The bellhousing will be a RS2000. If seen onothers posts that the 1.8L clutch and pressure plate work w/ Ford Capri clutch release bearing (QH CCT133) works. Has anyone used this combination? Do you have alternatives to work w/ the 1.8L flywheel? Has anyone made this type of set-up hydraulic operated (versus a cable operated clutch)? If yes, can you provide specifics? What would focus recommend for a starter?

I'm looking to put a stock zetec into an older lotus seven series 2. What are the pros and cons of the MT75 vs T9? Would the MT75 fit inside the transmission tunnel? It looks to be a little wider and taller than the T9. Any thoughts or experience is appreciative
