Decision time!  I'm going to sell !!

Before I advertise elsewhere and take all the glamorous photos I would like to offer this here.  I'll attach a couple of photos taken out and about but if you are interested, please PM me with any queries.  Better still, come and see it!  I am in Caterham!

The price I am asking for here is £17,000.  It will be offered for more than this if I go elsewhere.

Mileage 8,000

MOT until July 2023

Ex Graduate / Academy car

Black with Copper / Gold ‘chameleon’ paint bonnet and sides.  Looks stunning (but, as ex track car it does have some stone chips most of which have been covered up.

Was bought as track car. Records show it was only probably used for 6 track days then stored for 10 years.

Since purchase I have massively upgraded it to full road spec: all the below have less than 1,500 miles use!

• Black pack Windscreen
• New wipers and motor
• Track Roll bar
• New nose cone
• Leather Caterham seats
• Caterham / Luke harnesses
• New carpets on floor and rubber mats
• New carpet in boot fitted by Oxted
• Anthracite Caterham wheels 9” rear, 6” front
• Tyres with only 800 miles.
• LED fog light
• LED headlights on lowered brackets with ‘halo’ running ring light and orange indicator ring (no need for side lights and a very low profile).
• LED indicator repeater lights on front side panels
• New wings all round
• New brake pads
• 12 volt and USB supply hidden under dash.

And loads more!

New(ish) Caterham stainless exhaust and down pipe (needed for MOT as currently fitted with de-cat). 

Internal storage - Soft Bits tunnel bag, three net bags.

Full hood

Half hood (Oxted) with ‘easy access’ zip top.

Hood bag

Touring boot bag (clips to roll bar with secure fixing, holds loads) unused!

Side doors in great condition with upgraded sill catches.

There are a lot more additions and improvements which I can show to the prospective purchaser.

I'm running an ex academy K-series purely (mainly) for road use.

The non-adjustable Bilsteins are so hard it makes for a most uncomfortable ride.

I'd like to change these for adjustables of any recomended make to give a softer ride but my budget is limited!  Also, is there any market for the Bilsteins I'll be taking off?

Have a look at the previous posting, I have secured the last two from the eBay site where I got mine. 

Not sure whether these will be around again, they seem to be the only ones like this on eBay.

Happy to sell them on for my cost!

I am delighted with mine and would send a picture but the pictures on my Iphone are in 'heic' format and this site doesn't recognise them.  Shame, anyone on IOS 10 upwards will have their pix in this format now.

It seems to be what a lot of cars have now especially the Minis

White / orange / white / orange is exactly what the later minis have;  the white halo ring is a daytime running light and should be wired as such.

£60 a pair sounds very cheap unless they are just the inserts - I bought a pair at £85 each including bowls and all fittings.

It seems the demise of BANNER is overstated - ordered on line from Tayna with no hassle!

I need to replace my battery on my series 3.  It was a "BANNER" but I believe these are no longer available.

I don't know where these messages go!  The wear is so minimal that I doubt a photo would show it.

To be frank, they are very well priced and that should allow for a little bit of wear: you must realise that the Oxted seat pads and the runners are included!

I would ask you to come back to me as soon as you can otherwise I will have to accept another offer, however, since you were the first to express interest I want you to have a chance.  Maybe I could ask you to make a decision within 24 hours.

I have just fitted a pair of 'standard' seats in my series 3 so have two genuine Tillets for sale.

These come complete with runners and have the very nice Oxted Trimming diamond pattern seat pads.

There is a little wear on the hip area of the drivers seat but otherwise they are absolutely fine.  I bought these from a Westfield owner who had unstitched the Caterham logo but these are the genuine Caterham article.

I'm thinking to invest in a set of 'wrap around' Milwood style but am having a problem finding their site,

Thanks to everybody for the helpful comments and advice.

However, I feel I am getting away from my original idea of having 'keyless ignition' or at least, a key but no immobiliser and a push button start.  I am really looking for a firm who has experience of this work on a 7 in the Surrey / Kent area.
