  1. This company used to be called Performance Industries suppling Supalite wheels from Au. I beleive Caterham dropped them due to delivery problems, and their 'minator' produced by K&N is their lookalike replacement. Although I think they are a bit heavier than the 4.8kg supalite I understand the wheels are no longer cast in Au, but in the UK, this was changed to due to the unacceptable delivery time. My experience of the wheels since they have been cast in the Uk is that the quality is not as good. Apart from poor finish, I have had wheels where extraordinary amount of balance weights have been required, as well as porous castings. (Which are only discovered when you have paid for the tyre to be mounted) It is fair to say however they were replaced......eventually. 13" Supalite wheels do clear AP 4 pot calipers, but you have to be careful where balance weights are positioned as they can foul the caliper. If the quality are good, then they are VFM, I do however admit that I am considering new wheels, and supalites are not quite top of my list.
  2. Yok now have an 032R super soft, (in addition to the original compound) which according to them (yok) will be better than the 021r in the wet. The size no doubt you require is probably not in the country yet but is due soon. Give these a try......somebody has to. Apparently next year an 040r will be available this being comparable with the acb10,
  3. I agree with Graham Perry's comments, Its not unheard of for the car to swap ends due to rear braking being more effective than standard front brakes. Rather than reducing the rear braking efficiency improve the fronts with AP four pots (or as Graham suggested go to JW who I beleive has an alternative to the princess set up now) Alternatively, someone has been trying to sell a boxed set of AP fronts since before xmas. Check out the for sale forum? Darren
  4. windscreen stays??? I haven't any of those spare. Not in the advert. Somebody else maybe? Darren

  7. Does anybody know the advantages/disadvantages of 1)E glass silencer wadding, 2)Basalt silencer wadding. Or is there any other suitable materials readily available that have been tried and tested. Particular observations regarding noise levels, and performance would be welcomed. Darren
  8. Take the additive. Don't risk trusting the French. Darren
  9. I used to run a x/f and used the plastic container (supplied by caterham as an expansion catch tank for the coolant) to collect oil from the rocker box as you describe. A simple adjustment to the run of the pipe from the rocker box, to take greatest effect of gravity (an up & over so to speak) resulted in far less oil reaching the catch tank. I would however ensure that the end of the pipe is well up in the catch tank so that oil does not submerse it. Darren
