  1. Jeff..

Glad you're ok mate! The car can mend and all that caring sharing fluffy stuff.....

The offer of a shared drive at Curborough still stands.... you have the opportunity to drive a really fast car set up for a Fat B*stard, therefore have an excuse if you decide that a) its a deathtrap b) it's slow..

It's an arrive and drive deal and shall remain open for all events I am competing in for the remainder of the year!

This is also partly fuelled by guilt - Richard and I like playground bullies encouraged you to leave the brain in the paddock as you had previously threatened to do.. We're sorry*rofl*

Tell Jo that those two nasty boys MADE you do it..

I have broad shoulders - less of the sniggering there Durrant, Rogers et al!!!! and can handle the wrath of Jo..

  2. Where the hell did he get that time from???? All day he minced about in his flat cap miles off the pace, selling his car, wondering whether he wanted to do this... and then he drives the final run like his hair and pants were on fire!!

Fantastic result and well deserved from Jeff!! I've watched the video from my final run and can honestly say I thought my run was edgy, so jeff's must have been a proper throw brain away and see whether I make the top of the hill!!!!!

Hopefully he will be back more often!! In addition - Mr Calvert drove superby and was unlucky with the engine... I hope it's not serious!!

My offer of a sheared drive is still open Michael....

  3. To be fair... I am entered and accepted but am doing it to experience Coombe and tick it off the list - my local track...

I'm not holding out much hope of a clear day/ lots of runs and the usual crack with fellow competitors given our lack of entries and the number of actual entries...

I don't think that given the number of entries  -we would miss going to Coombe in future. It's an interesting circuit, but not a great one, plus it's not an event that would necessarily encourage new blood into the championship...

However - it must be an near impossible task for  Chris and the management team to find venues and events that will cater for the normal numbers of entries that we require... a task I don't envy!

  4. Just seen the entry form on BARC website Jeff...

Chris- we don't have a class- I presume therefore we run under class 2A and 2B ?

  5. Andy.

Come and have a chat at your next event. I'm happy to try to help.

Lines loked good and I don't think that present,y spending money on an LSD is where you'd get benefit. Making the car quicker will improve your times but making you quicker will be of more benefit..

plots of on,off through first bend... needs to be smooth with maybe a confidence lift.. the more speed and aggression you can take through here the more temp you will have in the tyres.. there are lots of little easy pointers that will help to bring time, after that its setup and the car. Ultimately it becomes about confidence and how close to the edge you are prepared to take the car. However, that does take time to build..

from experience, the cars I've dual driven have never seemed overall much different in terms of the time. Jeff's car felt different to mine and so much better, however overall it would appear that both cars would ultimately set similar times with me driving. Your car will/should be pretty competitive once you've gained the experience to start to push the car.

  6. Does anyone have one sitting in a dusty corner of the garage? Mine appears to have a hairline fracture so looking to replace rather than weld.

Not sure if it makes any difference - but to fit a NON VVC K-series engined car with distributor ie EU2.
