Neil, just to update Simons thread.......I had my 1996 live axle Bilsteins rebuilt by Bilsteins early this year, complete with new bushes, so Bilsteins may now have stock.

Cheers lads.

Not going LED, I'm sticking with the standard H4 headlight bulb. What are the recommendations for improved lighting from a H4 bulb please.
-
Good 'upgrade' is to fit Mintex M1144 pads.

Ralph, my car has the same set up as yours and I purchased a mechanical fuel pump from Redline a few years ago and, so far, I haven't had any issues with it.
-
If nothing 'comes up' give Redline a ring. I got a carpet from them, albeit a while ago.

Terry, that's a good idea...unscrewing the grease nipple. I've been using an oil gun.

That's for a 1995 xflow

Re Stu's comment, "Much better than my original Bilsteins but they're 20 years old so it's actually a comparison of apples and pears, unless I have the Bilsteins refurbished any comparison is invalid". I had my 15 year old Bilsteins rebuilt a few months ago and the difference, obviously, is there to be felt when driving the car. A lot more supple and an improved 'feel' to the car.

Spotted earlier today, red (with silver? stripes) A59 Rufford about 11:30hrs ish

I use Autoglym Metal Polish. Still takes some effort to apply but the 'protection' lasts longer.

I rebuilt my master cylinder with parts from Redline. 1995 xflow live axle.

This is a coincidence, I placed a 'wanted' last week for sidelight bulb holder/grommet along with the rubber headlight covers, alas to no avail. The mini type holder looks good. I ended up wrapping tape around the original plastic bulb holder and 'shoving' it into the hole.

I've replaced my cracked 5.75" 'Saturn' headlight units (lens/reflector) for Caterham units alas the H4 rubber bulb covers don't fit and the sidelight fitting/housing also doesn't fit. Does anyone have the 'bits' surplus to requirements I can buy from them please.

Bob, I'm in the process of getting my Bilsteins refurbished. My car is a 1995 xflow live axle. Removing the shocks was relatively straight forward, removing the springs was my problem - see post/thread.
Bilsteins have quoted me around £100 per shock.

Sensible and cheap brake up grade is fitting M1144 front pads.

Cheers lads

I've removed the 4 Bilsteins from my car, (x/flow, live axle) got the front springs off without a spring compressor but the rear springs need a compressor. I've twice ordered a set only to return them because they won't fit in between the spring coils/bindings. Therefore, can anyone recommend a set and where to purchase them from please.
