  1. Re Stu's comment, "Much better than my original Bilsteins but they're 20 years old so it's actually a comparison of apples and pears, unless I have the Bilsteins refurbished any comparison is invalid". I had my 15 year old Bilsteins rebuilt a few months ago and the difference, obviously, is there to be felt when driving the car. A lot more supple and an improved 'feel' to the car.

  2. This is a coincidence, I placed a 'wanted' last week for sidelight bulb holder/grommet along with the rubber headlight covers, alas to no avail. The mini type holder looks good. I ended up wrapping tape around the original plastic bulb holder and 'shoving' it into the hole.

  3. Bob, I'm in the process of getting my Bilsteins refurbished. My car is a 1995 xflow live axle. Removing the shocks was relatively straight forward, removing the springs was my problem - see post/thread.

Bilsteins have quoted me around £100 per shock.

  4. I've removed the 4 Bilsteins from my car, (x/flow, live axle) got the front springs off without a spring compressor but the rear springs need a compressor. I've twice ordered a set only to return them because they won't fit in between the spring coils/bindings. Therefore, can anyone recommend a set and where to purchase them from please.
