  1. Yeah, alright, I've got a 1.6VX, big deal. I didn't ask for to become a trash my car thread...?! 😬
  2. I forgot to say, thanks Stu. Very nice car! Unfortunately, he's looking for sub £10k (more like £9k if poss). I've got to say though your car was nice enough to make me think 'what if'!

    No problem at all Ian!

    Two-way Radio Set

Thanks Ian. I know it's a very good price. The reason for my apprehension is that a few of us have spent a few quid on walkie talkies in the last few years, so I'm trying to ensure my second attempt is my final attempt at finding the right set.
  5. Thanks for the responses so far guys. simonpa and IanL, I've passed on your messages to him. Mark, given that I chose a 'Nova engine' over a K, I resemble that remark!
  6. A friend is looking for his first Seven and he came across this one on Pistonheads Does anyone here know the car or the owner? Seems like a decent spec. Price maybe seems a fraction high but I would've thought only by £500 or so and it is summer (well, officially anyway ). Any thoughts are welcome. My friend is looking for a reasonably low-ish spec/power/price combo so if anyone knows of another one available, let me know. TIA, Andy Edited by - eagle on 26 Jun 2014 12:43:33

    Two-way Radio Set

Hi Ian. I have a few Qs. How short is the range across cars (in reality rather than the 'up to a few km in ideal conditions' that they usually state? Are they loud enough to be used in a Seven? Can an earpiece be plugged in? Do they have a belt clip on the back? Thanks, Andy
  8. Ed, if you do get the passenger door, do you need the mirror assembly? I could do with replacing mine. Andy

    Pesky MGs

nah, it just sounds like some MG drivers don't wave at others. Either those ones are too scared to look elsewhere / take a hand off the wheel, or they have an attitude... Arrgh, can't type on touchscreens...! Edited by - eagle on 22 Jun 2014 16:56:33

    Pesky MGs

I was only on the road for 15-20 mins this morning for the MOT (in progress) and I saw 3 MG Bs at various points. Gave a little wave to each of them and got royally ignored by all of them. I guess MGs are further up the car food chain than Caterhams (in their eyes)...

Hmm...those pics have gone a bit Pete Tong.... 😔
  14. Spotted at our base in Leafield today. Not sure who was driving it and I didn't see the number plate but it was in the same shade of blue as the one at Stoneleigh and Throckmorton.
  15. There's also the effect of larger rolling radius (higher top speed and slower acceleration).
  16. As above, yellow with a black stripe/noseband heading towards Chipping Norton on the A361 at around 8.30am. I think the reg began with V5. I was heading the opposite way and flashed you from my tin top (sorry all, it's a BMW... ) Your car looked nice! Andy Edited by - eagle on 17 Jun 2014 23:40:58
  17. I managed to put 35l in mine when I refuelled last week. Does the fact that my car is running carbs make a difference or was the petrol station having me over (and others)? ...and no I don't normally leave it that late due to the increased chance of picking up bits of carp from the tank.
