  1. B4235 Chepstow to Llangym one of my favourites, especially as it's close to the bridge so I always start and finish with it. I think it's on the fish & chip route? B4246 Govilon to Blaenavon B4560 either way (although I prefer going south) Llangynidr to Garnlydan A470 Bronllys to Builth is good if you do it outside the peak traffic times, otherwise you get stuck behind others A4069 Llanadog to Brynamam 'The Black Mountain Road" or the Top Gear road, even at 40mph limit it's still good, be very careful about speeding on it as it's full of bikers so I reckon the chance of unmarked police is higher than most roads "You may also like to try the A479 from Tretower (right turn off the A40 west of Crickhowell) to Bronllys - with a coffee stop at the Honey Cafe at the end as a reward? " I prefer the B4560 through Llangorse; less traffic and twistier. Agree that Honey Cafe is great. A489 climb south out of Newtown Agree about the Llanidloes reservoir road and that if you turn off at Dylife for the moutnain pass to Mach a la Fish & Chip route you miss some good stuff after Staylittle. Obviously Pen-Y-Pass A4086 from Llanberis Lots more that I'm yet to try in the Seven but have done in other cars and on bikes in the past. I know the south better than the north as the latter is more than a day trip from Dorset so I get up there less. Hope that helps
  2. Sold. (The person who has sent me the money needs to clear their messages inbox so I can reply to them, it's full).
  3. Going south into Wimborne this morning looking a bit chilly! I love that road from Cranborne if you can get a clear run. (I was on the bike going the other way)
  4. Hi Malc. Probably no more than a fiver. I'll get them boxed up a make sure the dimensions are under my local courier drop place and send you a PM.
  5. Headlights still taking up space on my garage shelf so big price drop to £25 posted to see if anyone wants them before I chuck 'em in the bin.
  6. Not sold yet and taking up space in my garage so big price drop to £150 posted
  7. Unsurprisingly I still have these...anyone want the for free (collected from Dorset) or postage before I chuck 'em in the bin?
  8. My 2008 fuel gauge is consistent and steady but not my definitive indication of when I need fuel. I know what mpg I get on both gentle and fast runs, and as long as I fill up by 220 miles I can only put mid-20s litres into it, so I use the trip and start planning at about 180 miles indicated.
  9. I opened this exited about maybe selling one of the two windscreens I have, both with cracked glass in ha! Good luck finding some glass; when my second one cracked I went down the insurance route and ended up just collecting a whole new heated screed with surround for my £100 excess.
  10. This full hood originally came with my 2008 car and has never even had the bag opened let alone been used. It is for an S3 with a roadsport rollbar, although looking at the current options for full hoods on the Caterham Parts site the implication is it will fit any S3 without a full cage. https://caterhamparts.co.uk/hoods/6447-hood-with-zip-out-rear-window-s3.html £250 including postage
  11. Stainless wing protectors for a K series car. Done about 11k miles. £25 posted
  12. Excellent. I was the numpty in the hi vis standing at the side of the roundabout running a bike race! Would have rather been out in my car...
  13. Puma Speedcats seem to be by far the most suggested shoes for the narrow Seven pedals so I thought I would try a pair. Picked up this NOS pair still with stickers on the soles. I've done about half a dozen drives, very little walking, and I just don't get on with them at all hence the sale. UK size 12. £45 posted /sites/default/files/images/users/54457/PXL_20220614_054230133-01.jpeg /sites/default/files/images/users/54457/PXL_20220614_054250757-01.jpeg
  14. ...possibly on the way to the Wilton Wake Up by the looks of a photo I've seen elsewhere?
  15. I know it's a cliche but just like everyone else I have a trip planned in a few weeks and no chance of getting a new half hood with the currently lead times. Any one got an S3 non-FIA one they might sell me?
  16. Stanchions sold, headlights still available.
  17. Couple of items from my 2008 car for sale: Silver 7" headlights, SVC stickers inside, fully working when removed from the car the other week. Threaded mount not included as my replacements were supplied with a metric one so I needed to reuse the imperial one, but otherwise complete. £45 posted Silver windscreen stanchions. £30 posted.
  18. Just clicked on the FastTrackTours link in the original post to see where the tour went as I know lots of NW Scotland, and read the following on the first page: "A highlight (in more ways than one!) will be the famous Applecross Pass. This road has the steepest ascent of any in the UK - the 20% gradients and hairpin bends at the top mean the views are breathtaking." Seriously, the basis of FastTrackTours job is to know their routes, surely? I can find half a dozen steeper ascents within a few miles of my house in Dorset, let alone Hardknott or Rosedale Chimney Bank or no doubt others I don't know that can boast 30%. As an aside, the current (not untypical) state of the tarmac on the classic hairpins side of the Bealach Na Ba means I wouldn't call it a drivers road, just a nice view road (when you can look away from the potholes you're avoiding)!
  19. Thanks but I just want a straight swap for the stainless ones on the car already, reusing the holes already in the wings.
  20. Before I buy a pair of carbon rear wing protectors from Caterham themselves, has any one got a pair languishing in their parts stock that they want to sell, or perhaps even some used ones they've removed that are still serviceable? If not, can any one confirm the 'Std Rear Wing Protector LH' in the link below is the one that's shorter for the K exhaust; I can't tell from the photo. https://caterhamparts.co.uk/protectors/7622-std-rear-wing-protector-lh.html Ta
  21. I might have, but... I've replaced my 7" chrome lights with new ones so I have the old ones sitting in a box waiting for me to get round to selling them. However, if I sell you the bezel then I have a set of lights with a part missing. I'd want to sell the entire set of lights together and therefore I guess that would be way more than you're looking to pay.
  22. Thread resurrection (do I get bonus points for using the search function?) My grille has been painted by hand and is a bit scruffy in general so I was considering just buying a replacement. I want a black 7 on a black grill ideally. If it was perfectly straight I'd just rattlecan the lot black but the devil on my shoulder is telling me a new one isn't a big expense... Firstly, my car is an imperial one. Are the S3 grilles the same dimensions for imperial and metric cars (and therefore I can't buy the 'wrong' one)? Secondly, colour. The one on the Caterham Parts site looks like it's already black which would be great but there's no info (as usual) to confirm so I'm only going by a single photo and, of course, it's out of stock. The one on Demon Tweeks has the same code, is in stock but looks to be unpainted which makes me think the Caterham Parts one would be as well. Can any one confirm? https://caterhamparts.co.uk/nose-cones/144-nosecone-grille-with-mesh-s3.html www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/caterham-mesh-nose-cone-grill-7-logo-cat30c093a/ Ta for any info.
  23. My bar does not have the diagonal brace...Would I need to replace the whole thing or can a brace be fitted to the original bar, either bolted or welded?
