    Yes it does seem rather excessive, I don't really want to go through the pain of removing them all!

    Thanks, I just needed to change to desk top view. My battery is a Red Top 30 and it fits very snugly in the cage. Mine has female connections, but the male connection battery looks to be cheaper, so I guess that might be an option? Cheaper still using the discounts available from here.

    Hi all, I'm looking for a replacement for my Red Top 30 Varley battery. The Varley seems to be rather expensive and heavy so I would like to consider something different, the issue I have is that the cage for the Varley has been riveted very firmly down and I don't fancy drilling them all out! Would anyone know of any other options still using the Varley cage? Or am I best to just get another? I would post a picture or 2, but I've no idea how to add them??? Thanks
