  1. Following this thread as I really do need to change my 14" tyres for this season. It seems that Rain Expert 3 are no longer available, does anyone know how RE5 compare? Mainly for dry road use, but nice to have some grip if get caught in a downpour. I know Caterham fit Avon ZT7 to their new lower powered cars, are these worth considering? Only other road use tyre I was considering is Toyo Proxes CF2, but can't find any reviews of what they are like on a Seven. Any recommendations appreciated, thank you.
  2. I don't think the Rainsport are available in 185/60 R14 but Rain Experts are available in that size.
  3. From my research so far, Rain Expert 3 possibly better than RE5, seems to still be available from some dealers but probably being phased out? Mixed reviews on Nankang NSR2s, some people complaining they wear very quick. Toyo R888R consistently good reviews but at a price. Not found anything useful about the Avon ZT7, is that because they are quite new? Anyone?
  4. I think that's the point, which tyres have proven to work on a 7 and are still available in the right size?
  5. I am following this tread with interest as I will need to replace my 14" A-021R tyres soon and have the same dilemma. I was considering the Uniroyal Rain Expert 3 or 5 but would like to add another couple of options and wondered if anyone had any experience. Firstly, the Toyo Proxes CF2, about the same price point as the Uniroyal, but currently on offer at Demon Tweeks and sound good. Secondly, Yokohama BlueEarth ES32, could these be similar in nature to the A-021? Also interested in any real life experience with Avon ZT7. FYI - I also normally drive on dry roads, but have driven in wet and found the A-021s not that great, but they are worn near the limit. many thanks Richard
  6. I was looking for mirrors to attach to the windscreen mount, I don't really want to drill new holes. These mirrors look like they are designed for that purpose but I cannot find them on the Caterham website, do you think they don't stock them anymore? an alternative I found are the Pitking ones, which look okay but a bit smaller I think https://www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/pitking-products-universal-alloy-race-mirrors-pair-1097933/ Does anyone have any experience with these or can offer an alternative solution. Want to use them for the odd track day and hoping they give a better view than the door mounted standard mirrors. many thanks Richard
