  1. Paul - see here: https://www.caterhamlotus7.club/track_folder/track_docs/
  2. Rhodesy - I think there was a discussion about why Croft is not on the programme this year here:
  3. Can't help with the identification I'm afraid but have you considered using https://www.biggred.co.uk/ either to find the right bits or doing the job for you? They did a lovely job refurbing a pair of Girlings for me (before and after below). Speak to James there...
  4. Sorry 2cv7 - got an earlier offer as part of a bulk buy. Apologies.
  5. I've had a clear out of the garage following the sale of my Xflow and have a few items for sale ranging from a 'Track Day' roll bar, SBFS half hood, and various parts to some relevant books. Please see the link below for full details including prices. If the parts are of interest to someone doing a project on a budget I've also got some new 20/50 engine and gear box oil looking for a home. I'll be able to reply to expressions of interest after work: 21 Nov '23 edit: https://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vRPvlg6y6MVuvfWbxsuy18fQPH1ff_LzV2T0yC6zcmyRXG2V63Igt2WEG1pahpq_cNS0mUdQ2ZiwV_k/pub Remaining for sale are: S3 Imperial live axle Track Day roll bar - £80 Near side rear wing (for repair) - £70 Set of 'nearly new' front brake pads - £25 Plus an old dizzy (for parts) and two Haynes manuals. I'm open to sensible offers. Thanks Jon
  6. As above for sale - good condition apart from two holes in the bottom corners which were there when I bought it 2nd hand. Does £50 sound reasonable for it (and I'll throw in the postage for that assuming UK mainland). Jon
  7. No idea...but I recently had my front (Girling Type 12) calipers refurbished by Bigg Red (www.biggred.co.uk) and I'm sure a call to them would get you all the info/bits you need. Speak to James.
  8. I had an annoying buzz too - turned out to the surrounds to the speedo had worked a bit loose. Tightened up and all ok.
  9. For those of you who have seen the event notification here, please be advised the blat has been CANCELLED due to the poor weather forecast for the weekend. I will post about a rescheduled date in due course and also update the Events page. Apologies Jon Bristol & Bath (Severn7s) AR
  10. Spotted yesterday as I was driving through town. Looks like the front number plate must have just fallen off though...

  12. Xtra special sevens seem to have them. I've never bought anything from them so can't vouch but might be worth a call? Xtra Special Sevens -Suspension
  13. JJ, Mines a 97 Xflow 1600. When my distributor packed up earlier this year I was recommended changing to a 123 Ignition unit (https://123ignition.com/ ) but on reflection decided to keep it original with a replacement Aldon unit with there Ignitor. The guy at Aldon is called Paul on 01384 572553 and was very helpful - they still make the correct unit for our cars (ref 103FXYS-I Non Vac). I had is set up on a rolling road and runs really nicely. Jon
  14. You can't go too far wrong following the F&C run route imho...the first section from Chepstow to Abergavenny is great as it gets you off the M4/A449 dual carriageway route and passes a number of pubs if you need to stop for refreshment. You may also like to try the A479 from Tretower (right turn off the A40 west of Crickhowell) to Bronllys - with a coffee stop at the Honey Cafe at the end as a reward? Further afield, and maybe off your route, the B4574 road from Rhayader to Aberystwyth via Cymystwth is amazing albeit single track - you can throw in lunch at the Hafod Hotel by Devils Bridge falls... Pretty sure some local members will be along soon with other (better) suggestions but frankly most of the A road are great if you get the timing right. Just watch out for the 'Mobile Safety Cameras' in the 30/40 mph zones especially once you are into Powys...
  15. I've used one of these to clean the thread in the head if that's of concern...the gunk gets trapped in the vertical slot https://www.burtonpower.com/lisle-plug-thread-cleaner-jsl2020.html
  16. Rookie question...is there anywhere for spectators at the above? Jon
  17. Just a reminder of the above event, details of which can be found in the events section here: Severn7s (Bristol & Bath) PCR 150 Blat There is also a temporary WhatsApp group for those attending which you may join via this link. Jon
  18. Nick - looks like there is one on the Oakmeare Caterham parts shop
  19. 20. Hello Simon - your email sent yesterday ended up in my 'Junk' folder for some reason. Just thought it might be useful for those who read your post above to check their Junk folders incase the email is in there. Gremlins... Jon
  21. I'd second the 185/70R13 Uniroyals.
  22. I run the Uniroyals and once I had my tracking sorted in line with the AG (ie toe in) was very content with the handling (road use only mind you). Even though you can only really adjust the toe in/out on my car with the old style top links/live axle, I did get mine checked for four wheel alignment too to make sure everything was pointing in the right direction...
