I have a longacre large rear view mirror with the Caterham roll cage mounts. https://www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/longacre-wide-angle-rear-view-mirror-kit-244430/ Over £77 new. Works very well on a Caterham especially if you have a cage. £45 posted in the U.K. Pm me with your email if you would like some pictures. thx

I have a pair of door mirrors that fit on the full Caterham doors (with bases and plastic grommets) and I also have the posts to mount them on the windscreen surround. Caterham charge £72 and £32 each for these! I have both sides. One of the screen pillars has a graze on the end as it came off my car at Redgate and the Marshall gave it back to me at lunch time. Over £200 new. £55 inc U.K. postage. If you pm your email address I can send some pictures.

I have a pair of Schroth harnesses that have just been removed from my car. They are in good condition but expired in 2018 for race use. They have never been in an impact. They are the lotus ASM version but I have the correct Schroth fittings to bolt them into a Caterham. Over £700 new. Looking for £250. If you are interested, send me PM with your email address and I can send you photographs. They are close to Derby but I can post them.

I have got my screen which I purchased at great expense as tge Caterham part and it has not lasted well. The top edge of the composite has delaminated. It looks fine if you fit some rubber trim edging over it. The mirrors got missed out on shipping back to me so I need to collect them and see what it all looks like before I sell. A part delaminated screen is not the nicest!

I'll go through in order when I have it after the 3rd. I also have some carbon effect half doors. You really need them or your ears get battered at speed.

I have one (the Caterham one) but I really want to sell it with the mirrors, or for the price of a second hand full kit.

I echo the thanks and squeezing us in with the MGs as the 7 slots were full. It was our first run with our "new" R300 and what a beast it is. My son went round Redgate in both forwards and backwards in the rain.

After a bit more research I have decide I just need to pedal harder. Compression and leak down are good. I have been studying Ben Clucas laps in a Roadsport at Castle Combe. On the pit straight to quarry corner he runs out of revs at about 106 and shifts to 5 to get to about 109. Because he entered the straight with more speed than me and brakes much later he gets a 3mph reward over a longer period. I get no gain as it's hardly any faster and I have two more gear changes. Thanks for your input everyone, must drive faster (on track).

Compression and leak down are all good, I'll check the final drive ratio when I next get to the car, thx for your help. I'm sure the cat has long since expired! It's only used on track.

Thanks for the comments. My car has the Ti-VCT, two ears sticking out of the front of the engine. I knew it was an early model. I'm getting a compression/leak check and checking the diff ratio. I'll let you know what I discover.

I was basing my speeds on the vbox gps which is probably more accurate than the speedo. I have been watching a couple of videos of really fast drivers on the same track and they use 5th in a Roadsport. I don't as it feels like it's slows down and there are two extra gear changes which costs time. Obviously it's at times when I'm too busy to study the Speedo. I was on the limiter in 4th at Dony past the exhibition centre, pit straight and Craners. I know the 310 is really good but I like working the lower powered car and trying, without too much success, to keep momentum in the scary bits.

It is a 2014 car so vct, I think tge Apollo wheels are 13 inch. I watched some training videos of a 135 at Castle Combe and it looked like max speed was 115mph. I'm wondering if I'm down on power as it goes slower in 5th than 4th.

My car is a Sigma Roadsport spec, basically 125hp academy car but with ZZS tyres (which are smaller diameter than academy tyres). On track I regularly hit the rev limiter in 4th but changing up to 5th is slower as the engine cannot pull 5th. Top speed is therefore about 105mph, 7k revs in 4th. Is this normal? I believe the 135hp upgrade is a rev limit increase? thanks

No but I think you will struggle. Get a db meter app on your phone and do a static noise test, that will give you an idea.
