  1. So, success! Got the Sealey one and it was reasonably straight forward once I'd sworn a lot and removed the washer reservoir and then sworn some more. Oakmere Caterham clearly wanted the oil filter to not leak when they installed the last one. Torque to free it was daft Cheers for tips!
  2. Cheers! My chain one has dug into the filter but i cant get enough rotation! thanks for the tip! Paul
  3. Hi all I have a sigma car with an oil filter that is at present rectant to loosen. Theyre not left hand thread or anythign weird are they? Any tips on access to loosen? Trying with chain strap and no luck so far Ta!
  4. Hi all Selling the tillets that came with my car now as I prefer the S seats. Very good condition. Come complete with the factory set-up of runners for the drivers seat and fixed aluminium "subframe" for the passenger seat. Would be happy to wrap them if anyone is some distance away and needs to arrange for a courier to pick them up £695 ovno
  5. Ive got my passenger tillet out and the fixed mounting has a hole pitch that is miles off that of the runner on the S Seats I've bought...
  6. All Another question: what do you find is the best surface prep prior to touching up stonechips on a seven? Isopropyl Alcohol? Cheers
  7. Im literally in the middle of doing this myself. Pitch of passenger seat tillet mounting holes is definitely substantially different to the runners on the S seats I've got second hand
  8. Ta. Have got passenger seat out! Pitch of mounting holes for S Seat runners is of course different. Deep joy
  9. Hi all Trying to get my Tillets out. Only one nut came out, without being held at the top, for the drivers front mounting. I've managed to get the other one out but do I pull the seat forward to get at the top of the rear ones? If so, anyone else have the problem that the adjuster lever fouls the chassis bar when the seat is set to the rear??? How the heck do you get it to come forward?!!!! Whats the process for the fixed passenger? Looks to have cap bolts inserted from underneath on that side Cheers all Paul
  10. Hi all, Is there a specific car to order the oil filter against or is it just a case of getting the part number off the filter itself? My 310R is probably due a service even though its possibly done sub 200 miles since its official service mid 2019! Cheers
  11. My paint seems to come off if you so much as breathe on the car!
  12. Hi Got myself some wider neoprene tape and want to get the old stuff off. What's the best way to get the old tape off? I can get the faom off but the tape is still clinging on! Cheers Paul
  13. Cheers. I think the foam at the rear is too far forward on the flange of the bulkead/scuttle too. It's a factory car but the bonnet appears to be contacting the metal behind the foam strip and actually sticking to the paint a little
  14. Hi all Is there a knack to doing this to reduce the chance of paint chipping? Also any tweaks for protecting the paint on the edges of the bonnet pressing in general too? Thanks in advance! Paul
  15. for the amount of money involved, and the fact that my new caterham is due an annual service, I will invest in some of R&Rs GL5 Very helpful Pete thankyou
  16. 17 310r so presume mx5 and bmw diff
  17. Cheers both. Yeah the cobra was extremely loud and I was rubbish at wearing ear plugs... Used to feel it days later. Good to know its broadly typical.

  19. Hi all Be gentle with me here... But... Is the noise from the box and final drive always very prominent in a seven? I took my 2017 310r up the road for the first time and was mildly surprised at how prominent the noise was. This is compared with an aluminium Cobra in which you weren't terrifically far from the driveline either. Due to covid I didn't test drive it before buying so it's the first time I've heard it. It's a long time since I've been in any others and I just can't remember! Cheers Paul
  20. Hi Very new member... 1st post :) I've bought a 17 plate 310r and whilst I can fit in the factory tillets I think I'd be happier in S seats. Does anyone have some that they'd like to either sell or swap with my tillets? Cheers Paul
