  1. Received my aero screen from Caterham today. Was expecting the screen to have the poppers already fitted (the ones that you press onto the tonneau cover studs on the scuttle) but they are provided separately. Is this an easy job, do I need a special tool? Also not sure how big to drill the holes in the carbon screen. No instructions were provided. Any help much appreciated, thanks
  2. Great thanks all, looking fwd to the full aero experience then!
  3. Fitting half doors looks a bit tricky, possibly involving drilling holes in my car which I'd like to avoid. Is it OK just to run with the aeroscreen and no doors?
  4. Great thanks, would be interested in the mirror also.
  5. Hi All I'm keen to run my car with an aero screen and can't find anything new in stock. If anyone has one for sale, please let me know. Thanks David
  6. UPDATE: Took it out again today, hot and sunny, dry roads and it didn't feel good, skipping all over the road, kept it slow as didn't feel in control. Checked tyre pressures (new tyres just been fitted) and FL: 56psi FR: 28psi BL: 38psi BR: 38 psi Have put the fronts down to 18 and the backs to 22 and will take it for a drive tomorrow.
  7. #10 yes I saw your post and that did make me check the LSD. Only did the first bit though and took some comfort that turning one wheel does make the other turn in the same direction. Don't have the tools for the torque test but have a mate who owns a garage so will try it soon.
  8. Thanks all It wasn't wet but still fairly cold and I had brand new tyres on it, that probably didn't help
  9. Hi All Had a bit of a shock when out in my 420R, accelerating hard in 3rd, in a straight line on an empty dual carriageway. Went over some bumps (not big) and the car twitched violently. Don't know if it was the front or the back and it carried on in a straight line, so over in a millisecond but quite unexpected (I'm new to the car). Just had the car set-up for 50:50 road:track. Is that normal? Maybe bump steer or LSD?
  10. Keeping the SV primaries on, if that makes a difference
  11. Hoping to buy a Racetec exhaust and collector pipe, that's coming off a 420 R, would it fit a 420 R SV? Thanks
  12. I'm after a set if you know of some for sale?
  13. I'm guessing they're original given their age and age of car but I haven't had it long so don't know for sure.
  14. Thanks, much appreciated.
  15. Thanks, found the 4 digit code, was on the inside of the tyre I was looking at! June 16 for the rears and April 17 for the fronts. Suspect they are the originals. Have a track day booked for June, would you put some new ones on?
  16. The car is a 2016 and it has done 8000 miles, what I don't know is if they are the original tyres. Also don't actually know how old is too old!
  17. Hi All Is there a way of telling how old Avon ZZS tyres are by looking at the numbers and codes on the sidewall? The Avon website indicates a 4 digit window after the DOT marking but I couldn't see such a window on my tyres. Thanks
  18. 200bhp BDA, inboard front suspension and lots of carbon
  19. Tracsport must be a lot heavier? Time will tell what the best compromise solution is, good to know though that the Titan needs regular servicing/refreshing, will get mine done.
  20. I tried (on the road) the 310, 360 and 420 and preferred the 310, felt nicer to drive. Ended up buying a 420 but I think I would have been happy with any of them.
  21. Sealey sell one for £15, do you think this would this fit? Adjustable C Spanner - Hook & Pin Wrench Set 3pc 19-51mm
  22. I have a 420R 2016 SV which currently has ground clearance of 70mm riding on 13" wheels. I would like a centimeter or 2 more, already scraped a speed bump! I have the adjustable suspension, wondered what the correct (or alternative) tool is to wind it up? Thx David
  23. Hi All, first winter as a Caterham owner fast approaching. Any tips for keeping the car healthy, I have a garage and happy to take out on the dry days, avoiding freshly salted roads if possible. Wondered about petrol tank, is it best fully brimmed or near empty? Oily bits and brakes, anything else? Will have a trickle charger but may have to take battery out of car to connect it, as no power in that garage. Thanks!
  24. ended up with a 2017 360R S3, blue and orange, lovely
  25. I've found a car but haven't managed to work out how to edit my post to say no longer wanted, any help appreciated, thanks!
