  1. Awesome, I'll report back once they send me the missing bracket.
  2. So far I've just replaced the two front headlamps and removed the old rear lights (not yet installed new rears) and the front indicators and running fast. Hopefully once I've finished the new rears that will sort the problem, if not I'll get the relay.
  3. Thanks all, very interesting and helpful. Just realised I have no bracket in the box for the number plate led, brilliant.
  4. Can anyone suggest what to do with the original number plate light wiring no longer needed please, is it just tape up and secure out of the way? I seem to be missing a step, Caterham don't mention anything about them. Thanks Paul
  5. I've had no issues with mine at Silverstone, Donington, Bedford and Brands. Thruxton and Croft both an issue. At Thruxton it was only a static test and someone told me to just say it's a new engine and I'm only revving to 3000 for the day, that got it through but not worth the stress of finding out.
  6. Thanks all, bought the Comma G30, similar colour so I'm happy. My label under the bonnet just says any Caterham approved.
  7. Evening all, Apologies if this has been asked before but i need to top up the anti-freeze/coolant and not sure exactly what to buy. The Caterham manual says Ford Super Plus Anti-Freeze but I've read it's fine to buy something else from Halfords. It's currently pink in colour on a 2019 420R. Any help welcome, thanks. Paul
  8. Thanks all, mines a 2019 420R. I've removed the softest ball joint which I think will solve the problem. I'll see if I get any rubbing from the other joints.
  9. Evening again, so I fitted the drop link male ball's no issue, now very quick and easy to adjust. My issue now though is if the adjustment is on the stiffest, foreword most setting the softest rearmost ball touches the inner wheel. Am I getting something wrong, same on both sides?
  10. Afternoon all, On a recent wet trackday a fellow Caterham owner told me about a way of modifying the rear anti-roll bar assembly to be quick release and not require spanners and the time etc to change when at track. Is anyone able to help identify what he meant, it would be super handy to quickly adjust the position without spanners on a track day? Image below of whats currently on the car. Thanks, Paul
  11. Thanks all, dribble valve sorted it. Installed between bottle and the pump.
  12. Thank you, where exactly does this go?
  13. Pouring as in being forced out but I don't think it's through the jets, basically streams up the windscreen at all angles. I suspect I'll have to work out how to take the nozzle off. They work fine if I try and clean the windows using them.
  14. 2019, 4000 miles, mostly track days.
  15. Thanks all, never had it before track day on Monday, it literally pours out on heavy breaking and tank is only half full. Took it on a blat today and had the same issue, albeit less extreme.
  16. Morning all, Just completed a track day and the windscreen wash was pouring out of the nozzles and up the windscreen every time I braked. The nozzle itself looks secure and not happened before, I spent the sunny day with the windscreen wipers on. Anyone have any thoughts on how to resolve please? Thanks Paul
  17. Good morning, firstly apologies for not posting this last month, life's been hectic since. Just wanted to share the conclusion from a day on track at Bedford.... it was air in the front brakes, it took Pete Godfrey a couple of attempts to get it out but once he found it the front brakes started biting. We think it must have been like it from new as the front brakes were applying but no where near like they do now. After a day at Bedford in June I had noticeably more bite on the front and brake dust to match. ironically it was slower to turn in so I must have got very used to the car with limited front brakes.
  18. Morning all. thank you for the messages. I wanted to wait until Pete @ GRS Caterham had had a good look before I replied. Pete is amazing and pretty much gotten to the bottom of it. He's also replaced the rear brake liners with flexis. Essentially in 10 track days at Bedford I've gone through two sets of rears and done 2mm on the fronts. I've not necessarily noticed any braking issues but it's my first Caterham so can't compare. Petes come to the conclusion that it's most likely that the pads are too hard on the front, he's taking it to a rolling road tomorrow to prove that there is no other issue. There is no bias valve and brake pressure appears correct to the front. I'll report back once I know more. Cheers Paul
  19. To be honest it's my first Caterham so it feels 'normal' to me, probably understeers at bit too much which may explain it.
  20. They were factory standard on all 4 but I wore through rears after two track days so had them replaced with next grade up on the rears only, got through another set of rears and the specialist has said there is even rust on the fronts, guessing on the disc.
  21. Evening all, 13 month old car and it's gone through two sets of rear brake pads in 3000 miles on track. Local Caterham specialist has had a good look today and it's literally not touched the fronts, no wear at all. Anyone seen this before or know what it might be, he's looking further next week but never seen one like this? thanks Paul
  22. I'm having first option on these once I know price :-)
  23. fronts 6x13 rears 8x13 Thanks. Paul
