Near-perfect chrome bowls, v small dent on one of them, and some light surface corrosion on underside by mount, not visible. Original wiring and fully working. - £50 Pair of original Sprite rear light clusters from my ‘98 supersport. Includes rubber mounting blocks and wiring, ready for fitting. - £25 --SOLD-- Collection from Bristol, or happy to post at cost. 7. I've PM'd you Simon - appreciate I may be joining a queue...
  8. Hi - I’m still looking for one of these, also black stanchions to go with it. Does anyone have for sale? Thanks
  9. Can anyone recommend a good paint shop in the South West / Bristol? Looking to get my yellow cycle wings sprayed black to match the nose cone. Also what do you think would be a reasonable price for this? Thanks
  10. Anyone have one for sale? Or want to exchange for a polished silver of the same? For an ‘98 imperial S3. Cheers
  11. Ok good to know. I have just bought a CTEK MXS 5A 12v charger and conditioner for the leisure batt in my van, guess this will also do a pretty good job of the the 1-week-each 12v garage batts if that’s the option I go for. And I guess for the Caterham battery too if it needs it? Could be promising!
  12. Thanks guys, GJT I'll have a read to up on the Optimate power solution. *Edit I just met with the garage landlord and he says he doesn't want me putting a solar panel on the roof of the garage, so that solution is out... Guess your switching 12v battery idea is the next best thing? With the power that the carcoon requires, is 1 week the interval you've worked out before the battery goes flat? cheers C
  13. Hi, I'm looking for the best way to keep my new machine dry and rust-free in my rented, non-insulated garage. Have heard about inflatable Carcoons, but they seem really expensive. Can anyone recommend another brand? Also which size would suit the Caterham - presumably the smallest one? Also I'd be looking to power it off a leisure battery with a solar panel on the roof. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks
  14. Thanks for the suggestion Ian, I'll look into it. I did wonder how much mark-up caterham placed on those bits of steel box section! Once I've collected the car next week I'll have to see how long each section needs to be, and where to put the holes. First project!
  15. Hi all - I'm about to pick up my first Caterham next week - 1998 K-series S3 SuperSport. It has a lowered floor - I’m 5’7” and the low seat meant the door popper mounted on the inside of the wheel arch was digging into my shoulder. It also meant an awkward position of my left arm over the gear stick and a fairly limited view over the bonnet... (I'd rather not remove the lowered floor as aware it's a lot of hassle) It has adjustable leathers, and guessing it's an imperial chassis. Can someone confirm that this part is what I need in order to raise the seat? https://caterhamparts.co.uk/fittings/4492-seat-spacer-box-section-imperial-chassis-only.html There are another couple of box section items on the website, with one of them mysteriously double the price of the rest, so not too keen on that one! thanks - I'm sure this will be my first of many rookie questions on here! Chris
