  1. Thank you, Martin. I will contact you tomorrow via email. I just got confirmation my exporter didn’t cancel the existing license & I’ll be able to use in Japan when there next week. But no specific knowledge about the prior ownership history. Adam
  2. Thanks for the responses and confirmation here @mikestifel - and yes, small world! Will learn more about the ignition when I am back in Japan in 1.5 weeks. Will get a little use of it before it's prepped for export.
  3. Looking for information on a 1983 Caterham Super 7 BDR 1600 I purchased last week. Chassis LCS4268BDRM / engine nr. BDR001. With an engine number like that, would appear to be the first Caterham Cosworth BDR. Can anyone corroborate? Do the club or Caterham have access to archival records - for a fee? Thanks in advance and sorry for the shabby photos). Adam in Seattle
  4. Thanks for the response. If anyone has any experience with these cars, would like to hear thoughts. Will reach out to the identified suppliers and joined 'The Lotus 7 & Caterham Club Canada'. cheers, Adam Chovanak
  5. Question for the group - wonder if anyone here might have information to share about Canadian constructor Super Seven Sportscar Co. I recently purchased a 1984 Seven carrying chassis number S3S8442010062T/L. Interesting for having a Toyota 2TG 2000cc motor. I see very little information on this manufacturer who may bebased in British Columbia and like to know how this may differ from an English Caterham. Thank you in advance - Adam in Seattle. http://sodo-moto.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/D2642F28-69DC-44FB-882D-8A9D468FD3C4-762x456.jpeg http://sodo-moto.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/20078-Birkin-7-6.jpghttp://sodo-moto.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/20078-Birkin-7-1.jpg http://sodo-moto.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/C26E7231-70F4-4DC0-AF9A-E44D8F7FC550.jpeghttp://sodo-moto.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/0BD39D36-4F5A-4CA4-965C-F1A7BCB7E786.jpeghttp://sodo-moto.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/38ED7B75-0A3D-4147-ADA8-774DF50F6FEC.jpeg
  6. http://sodo-moto.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/fullsizeoutput_2843-762x456.jpeg Recent new member here in Seattle WA. Have had a couple post 1974 Lotus years back as well as a morgan Plus 8 but recently picked up a couple early 1990's Birkin S3 / Super Seven's. One is powered by a twin DCOE 1700 Kent is great runner. The other has Cosworth power but is a bit of a project and the project will probably be sold off. Here are a couple specific questions: 1) Birkin Seven MA19324373 with 1700 Kent. Steering Rack and left-side tie-rod needed. Like to know if this is shared with a more common car and where this can be sourced. 2) Birkin Super Seven MA19428073 - purchased as a project - has a wider track than Birkin #1 (above) and wonder if someone can help identify the Cosworth motor with marking as follows... 0602P block near head on the right side of bellhousing BA8233 - back of head near bellhousing 29 F3 001 - lower block exhaust side H 82 MS 6015EB - lower block exhaust side COSMA 204 - rear casting adjacent bellhousing exhaust sideThanks in advance, Adam Chovanak Seattle, WA --- http://sodo-moto.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/fullsizeoutput_284b-762x456.jpeg http://sodo-moto.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/fullsizeoutput_283f-762x456.jpeg http://sodo-moto.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/fullsizeoutput_283b-762x456.jpeg
