I was thinking the numbers assigned in our comp by Graham? I.e 571 for me. I think there was an email saying the entry number is not your car number.

Does covered up mean a bit of tape across them?

I believe the 'logic' behind it was to prevent people having unofficial races/rallys on the road to discourage speeding.

I would assume that our competition numbers are the ones already assigned? If not, I may have a problem as I only have those numbers :-)

Good news is the car passed its MoT :-)

The Motorsport regs require that the boot is sealed. I have found reference to a Caterham part 77519 that should be used rather than tank tape, but can't for the life of me find it. Any suggestions?

Does anyone have the dimensions for the spacers in the top and bottom of the rear dampers? Imperial if possible. I've replaced mine with spherical bearings so now need to make up spacers to go each side. Top I think I am sorted as I have used washers to measure it, but bottom is only a bolt going into the deDion. I assume same size? I have it at around 31mm at the top.

As luck would have it, a SLR one came up on faceache, and it appears that it has 1 3/4" primaries and 2 1/4" outlet, whereas mine is 1 7/8" primaries and 2 1/2" outlet. So bad luck for me....

Richard I think you are right - it does look longer than the one in the photo, as the body of the silencer starts before the firewall. The vhpd one does look it might fit though, but not available of course. Modifying mine might be the cheapest option - do you have any suggestions on how? At least I would know it fits! I have seen the 'motorsports' cats on demon tweeks, and perhaps could cobble that onto the inside of mine. Or find someone who could fabricate me the whole thing. I will see if the previous owners have it, but I suspect not.

As I get my car ready for sprinting, one thing the regs require is a Cat. Having investigated my current exhaust, it doesn't look like it has one - I.e. nothing visible inside the exhaust, no colouration etc. What are my options?

Here is the current system in place - I suspect the collector is a cat replacement part - could I get one with a Cat? Off the shelf or custom made? Or get an exhaust with the cat inside it?

Ideally the cheapest option, but then these things never are are they?

What are people's thoughts on the 620R nosecone? Could the inlet to the intercooler (I guess that is what it is) be used to duct cold air? Just idle thoughts while my hands warm up - it's cold in the garage!

I am in the same boat, and will need a CAT as my 4-1 appears to be non-cat (unless it is hidden in the silencer). How much are you looking for for the whole lot?

The other approach I have seen is to extend the side skins by the engine bay outwards where they meet the cockpit, to leave a gap to allow hot air to escape.

I checked my helmet and it is out of date. :-( Do we have any club discounts other than Demon Tweeks? And how would I try one on? I've always had Arai but was looking at the Bell ones too. Not sure whether anyone would accept a return (I had an issue with a Hans device that I bought that had the wrong angle and coudn't return it).
