  1. A brake fluid level indicator problem is rated only at minor in the new scheme of things, not on its own a failure:- Section 1.1.10. defect (f): Brake fluid warning light illuminated or defective - Minor defect (g): Incorrect functioning of brake fluid level warning device - Minor Cheers .
  2. Doesn't work for me... Only returns one hit - this thread which I created, not any others I have replied to... Cheers .
  3. Having just quickly skimmed a Drupal overview I think I now see what you mean by forum posts ('nodes') and 'comments', but I don't think an average user thinks that way. They press a button labeled 'post' and the content appears in the thread/topic. I imagine most would say 'I posted a reply...', and not 'I commented on...' etc. Perhaps it depends what other forums they're familiar with. I'll just call threads/comments/posts/replies 'contributions'. (As an aside -does the 'Advanced Forum' module work differently? - "By default, Advanced Forum treats all nodes that can go in a forum as a forum post as well as all comments on those nodes." ...?) On another forum I visit, 'View forum posts' will pull in all contributions, while other options such as 'Find latest posts' and 'Find latest started threads' do as they suggest. I use these regularly to gauge who I might be dealing with - whether someone might benefit from any advice I could offer, or is so knowledgeable that I'd look stupidly patronising! An old post might reveal relevant information not explicitly mentioned in a question. Maybe someone might be a bit 'harsh' and I look back find that's just their usual demeanour with no offence intended etc. etc. Google search is generally excellent, but a problem with using it for a member's contributions is that sometimes (for no clear reason) it will find most threads started by the member but few if any their replies, and will pull in lots of irrelevant pages where that member's name appears - i.e. in 'who's online', topic listings, latest forum posts etc. To top it off, the hits that do come back aren't sorted by date. All in all not so great. Cheers .
  4. On my profile my name is at the upper left, and as I said if I click 'Forum Posts' it only lists threads I've started (i.e. this one). If I look at your profile, your most recent 'forum post' is dated the 15th July...? Cheers .
  5. On many forums it's possible to see a list of one's own posts - useful if you think of something to follow up or check progress in a thread you remember posting to but don't remember the title of. I don't see a way of doing that here - in the user profile, 'Forum Posts' just brings up a list of threads you've started. Am I missing something obvious? Cheers .
  6. Glad to hear it's working, but the odds of a brand new switch having the exact same fault are so very far beyond unlikely that it might be worth another test. It may seem overly cautious, but it's only a couple of minutes work to swap the second switch back in to check the fault re-appears, and it means it won't come back and bite you again later ! Cheers .

    Harness Fitting

I'm not sure exactly what you're looking for, but ebay item 292462596324 is a 12.5mm high seat belt collar spacer, with a 9mm long reduced diameter section. <link> Cheers .
  8. I haven't seen a circuit diagram for the Sigma, but in one for an older model the flash feed to the main beam goes 'via' one of the terminals on the dip switch, i.e. a wire in and a wire out of the same terminal. If those wires are still connected together within the terminal block, but the contact with the switch terminal itself is broken, that would create the problem exactly as described. Such a fault would also remain after changing the other components mentioned. Cheers .
  9. Sorry to be less than encouraging on my first post here, but it seems likely to be a failure of the hollow roll pin that secures the striker block to the selector shaft. This will 'disconnect' both 1/2 and 3/4 selector forks, with no effect on 5th. The only (and very faint) glimmer of hope of not having to take the box out is that the assembly is located just under the top cover. It may then be possible for someone skilled in the art to replace the pin in situ, though I can imagine it would be a real struggle to punch out and retrieve the broken parts with such restricted access. Hope you get it sorted soon. Cheers
