  1. Do you have to put Caterham in small letters at the bottom of the plate
  2. The down force idea is interesting, what's a gurney flap Keith? I met a guy last week with a Dax Rush with a V8 engine and he said at 140 mph the car was starting to lift of the ground and was considered some type of fins to create some down force.
  3. Looking for mohair Tonneau for S3 tiller seats and mohair half doors
  4. I have a black coloured Brown & Geeson Ally 100mm boss, brand new still in the box.

    Aeroscreen

I just saw this and new you were looking for one Simon, but didn't have your contact details but I see you found it yourself. Returning after our meet on Thursday I only had the one fatal collision with a mozzzzzy the goggles were a bit of a mess and the top of my roll cage is just plastered, it's great another mayer impracticality to deal with all adds to the experience don't you think.
  6. Hi Chaps I believe show plate size number plates are illegal for road use, what are the consequences or does it go unnoticed. The normal size plates look so silly on the front.
  7. I had to laugh when I entered my reg number for comparability on the Amazon link for the bulb, it said this does not fit your opal Astra. I noticed they now do a new upgrade to this bulb Julian called the "Laser night breaker" it's £2 more, probably no different I would imagine.
  8. Thanks Julian your a gem I will do my best Johnathan, not sure how to upload pictures on the site but will look into it
  9. Hi Chaps Was recommended the 'Prism night break' bulbs that give a much brighter beam, does anyone know what brand or size of bulb, the Caterham handbook says wattage 60/55 (halogen) and the fuse has a 15am(blue) rating.
  10. Hi Chaps Thought this new oil sounded interesting, spoke with Millers directly and they recommended it for my Sigma 150. Heater Upgrade

Thanks for all the feedback, my heater is pretty good but when it gets colder I would like it to be stronger, but extra clothing is probably the only way to go. Was out driving tonight which was warm, during the day it was 26C but after being out till around 11pm finally the heater had to go on, but that's with no screen and no side doors. I am interested in what it's going to be like in the winter, this is my first year.

    Heater Upgrade

Hi Chaps Does anyone know if there is an upgrade option for the heater, the original is so so, it would be nice to have more power.
  14. Thanks Keith, I also found onRallynuts.com 201x54nm stem 50,75,100mm height options but not cheap £97.They also do them convex, any idea if that would give a better rear view
  15. Thanks Johnathan, not quite sure what or how to use the low flying archive
  16. TRACKER lens rating. “2C” 100% UV protection to EN170 with no colour distortion. “1.2” means 75% of light basically clear. Tracker transmits over 90% due to the high quality of the lens, optical quality “1” can be worn all the time. “B” rating very strong lens protection against small objects traveling up to 120 meters per second. “K” means anti scratch and “N” means it has anti-mist properties. Just one question what is the meter rate per second (m/s) of a stone flicking up at 100mph A rating is 190m/s B rating is 120m/s
  17. I was tempted with the Biggles flying glasses possibly good for the track, but maybe a bit much for every day use,
  18. Thank you Doug for the great info, really interesting the rating chart in your link. The Tracker look good, If a big stone flies up they probably are still not enough protection, have you had anything substantial hit you before
  19. Thanks Johnathan great picture, I am really surprised I had no idea, what is its precise function?
  20. Today, finally managed to swap the windscreen for the Aero screen. After attending my first monthly 7 meet, the guys made me aware of the wires from the heated screen that needed to be disconnected before lifting of the windscreen, so all went smoothly today and fitting the Aero screen. I was really surprised that my head wasn't being blown off and it really didn't feel that much different, the Aero screen does a great job, looking at how small it is I didn't think it was going to do much so really impressed, really love it. At very high speed it is more drafty but no more than with the windscreen with no doors. Do half doors make much difference? Does driving with a Tonneu cover decrease turbulence My only gripe, why is the rear view mirror so high it really obstructs the view I found when approaching junctions, especially with my lowered floors, cars headlights behind at night are even worse than with the Windscreen. I have the `carbon interchangeable` screen which has this high stem, Does anyone have a shorter stem on the rearview mirror or are they all the same? Cant wait to try driving in the rain with no screen, NOT. Talked with a few members who seem to quite regularly , they don't seem to "blat" an eye lid to the prospect, Im trying to imagine it lets see when I get caught out.
  21. Thanks Guys Really helpful What is a "HANS Device" excuse my ignorance, is it a pole going from the Roll bar to the front passengers foot well? I saw a picture in the 7 mag this month with something like this.
  22. Hi chaps Looking for a crash helmet for track days seems confusing as to what to buy, obviously it is nice to be safe, but comes at a cost. seems the SA2005/2010/2015 helmet is the best in regards to role cage bar head collisions? Seems crazy that all the various track events have quite strict guidelines, but never seem to check anyones helmets. Then on the forum a post mentioned how with the Tillet seats, your head is pushed forward so it is uncomfortable, fitting a spacer to the seat alleviates this problem apparently? I believe the R500 Kevlar seats are based on the Tillet am I correct? Please, any comments would be most helpful.
