  1. Now price lowered to £ 99 with free delivery for those living in the Tonbridge/Tunbridge Wells/Sevenoaks area.
  2. Dear All, I have noticed a dry yellowish mustardy yoke leak around the bolts at the junction of the front lower wishbones with the upright assembly, both sides of the car. Would you have any idea what this can be about? Thank you very much
  3. This trolley is just bought from SGS Engineering and still boxed so never used. I overestimated my home "tool parking space" and this jack happens to be too wide Length 63 cm Width 33 cm Height 15.5 cm Entry 75 mm Max lift 515 mm Weight 33.5 kg £ 105 ONO. I can arrange for free delivery in the Sevenoaks/Tonbridge/Tunbridge Wells area. Otherwise delivery cost will need to be agreed with buyer.

    Scissor Car Lifts

Dear All, I am thinking about investing into a scissor car lift. Space in the garage is very limited and something light and easy would be necessary. Also an item which would be respectful of the different width in jacking points on a Caterham (closer to each other at the front than at the back) is key. Any suggestion, reference or experience is welcome Thank you
  5. Thank you very much for your kind and precise answers. I am tempted to go to Pitstart garage then, unless someone suggests a better place for a self service garage in the South East, ideally in Kent. Any personal experience of that sort of garage or recommendation? Again, many thanks.
  6. Good Afternoon, I am looking for a self service garage in the South East (I live in Kent) that you would recommend. I have seen Pit Start garage which looks interesting but they seem to have only 2 posts lifts. Is it possible to access the two front and rear jacking points of a Caterham with two post lifts, since most cars have four "lateral" jacking points and the lifts must be made for them? Is a ramp lift absolutely necessary if you don't want to use axle stands? Same question for an MOT place which understands what a Caterham is. Thank you very much
  7. Now sold to the first person who expressed interest. There is a person who was first on the waiting list and we exchanged through private messages. Unfortunately I could not inform that person directly of the outcome since his private mailbox is full (well that's the message I'm getting).
  8. Change of the seal completed a few days ago. I had to use non-diluted washing-up liquid so that the T part could slide easily. In consequence a good water rinse was necessary in the end in order to avoid serious soap bubbles emerging the next time I would have been out in the car and in the rain! Thank you very much again for all the precious pieces of advice given.
  9. Excellent alternative to harness. This product is apparently discontinued. Used but in excellent condition. £ 38. Please send personal message if interested.
  10. Many thanks to you both for your help; I will try to put a new seal when temperatures get warmer.
  11. Dear All, The rubber seal at the bottom of the windscreen is showing undulating signs of aging, leading to some potential for serious drafts when the car id off sorn at the end of this winter. I could of course go through a total change of rubber by lifting the windscreen. I am looking for a good step by step guidance about how to do it since I am rather poor, although willing, at DIY. If I were to go the temporary lazy way, do you think a quick fix with tape is doable? Any tape you would recommend? Any potential harm to the paint when the tape is taken away? Thank you very much
  12. In the process of Caterham hunting at the moment, I was reflecting on some models which have fixed wheel carriers welded to the back panel. If the spare wheel is taken off but the wheel carrier stays, would it still make it a car acceptable to go on track from a safety perspective? Also, would a half hood be accepted when it rains? Many thanks
  13. Dear All, I've just tired to get a quote from Big Yellow with the existing LOTUSBY01 discount code and got declined both online and over the phone. Does anyone know whether this partnership is over of if the discount code was changed? Would anyone know what the new discount code is, if any? Thank you very much
  14. Has anyone tried a raceco on this old model? What is the outcome, both when touring (lower noise level then less tiring?) or on track (abide by more stringent track noise rules)? Any accurate description about the feeling when driving or suggestion to adapt the silencer is very welcome Thank you very much
  15. Thank you very much: this is good food for thoughts.
  16. Thank you very much for these details. So, you regularly drive to the track but, once you are there, which proportion of drivers around you have done the same? More or less than 50% More or less than 75%? Many thanks
  17. Dear All, This is just a quick question before potentially getting into Caterham ownership, as a road and track day car. From your experience, what is the proportion of people attending a track day who drive their car to and from the track, never using any trailer or special van at any time in the season? Thank you very much
