If you're going to Partridge Green, you owe it to yourself to visit Dark Start Brewing Co., they do some lovely beer. My recommendations would be Hophead, Revelation and Summer Meltdown.

Quoting bluenose:However the way he has managed to squeeeze the throttle bodies under the bonnet seems a good idea although I would be interested to know how it would affect engine power. It won't if you supercharge it

...and it's a GSXR1000

Thought I had a limiter on my 1700 Supersprint xflow, I was later told that I hadn't and what I had been experiencing was likely to have been valve-float. So unless you've changed valve springs you probably have the same limiter as I did.

If you are using an original type 2 gearbox, you should probably budget for a quaife internals kit.

If you have a 3.62 diff, or are happy with a 4-speed box (I do, and I am), then you could think about a Quaife 4-speed cluster for your casing.

I'm fairly sure that by 1990 all were long cockpit. For your rollover bar choice, you need to know whether the rear suspension is a live axle or de Dion set-up.

This sounds normal to me, don't forget that in a de-dion car the diff casing is bolted to the chassis and it's very close to your left hip whereas in a live-axled car it isn't, hence you are less likely to notice any backlash on a live-axled car.
Have chat with the people at your local meet, go out in their cars, take someone out in yours, you'll soon discover whether yours is unusual.

Hi Andrew,
could I have 1st dibs please?
-
If it starts with 5LC it's not a DeDion
Are you sure about that? Could it not be 5LC/nnnn/17RD indicating 5-Speed, Long Cockpit, engine number, 1700 Supersprint, Right Hand Drive, de Dion. -
Won't Caterham be able to supply you with a replacement chassis plate?
-
and check whether you have/need a vent in there to prevent vacuum build up.

If you fancy the idea of combining fun in the car with fun on the slopes and raising money for a good cause into the bargain, then this event might just be for you:
Entries are limited to 30 cars, so it shouldn't be too crowded :)
